It wasn't hard to find the letters zip-locked and buried and the letters were distributed to the individual they were addressed to, except for Daniel, but Gracen promised to give it to him later. With the letters addressed to them the brothers broke of to their own rooms to read them, even the twins went to separate rooms for once.
Hey Artie,
There are a couple things that I need you to know:
1. Don't doubt yourself, I watched in amazement as time and time again that you have the courage and intelligence to now when to stand up for yourself boldly and when to conserve your strength, so you can protect yourself.
2. Even though your role as our speaker wasn't something you wanted, you still stepped up and did a wonderful job. And I'm sure Drew agrees
3. You have helped support me and Drew through our rough patches, you are strong. But don't forget to lean on others and rest for awhile, it's ok to have weaknesses. Whether those are chocolate chip pancakes or something else.
4. I didn't want to hide things from you or Drew. I trust you guys with my life, but it was my own weight to carry maybe when your older I'll tell you. As much as the thought of you guys as adults scares the living daylights out of me.
5. I won't be back for a long time, but I will come back.
6. You, me and Drew are a family, but if you guys want to allow other members I leave the decision up to you all.
7. A friend I know can help you with the custody case. However you and Drew will have to make a decision on who want to have custody, Gracen, Hunter, Andre, Andrew or even Daniel. When you make the decision text the number I left on your iPad.
8. I wish I could stay with you guys, stay safe and I love you.

Artie read the letter his hands clenching causing the paper to wrinkle. A knock sounded outside his door, before he could get up to the open the door Drew rushed in, before stopping right in front of Arthur his on letter clenched tightly in his hand. Wordlessly they swapped their letters. The letter ran in a similar way, but listed different things for the first three things, they instead ran:
1. Be bold, your are empathetic, careful and energetic, these are all qualities that have hurt in the past, but they can become your strengths and I have witnessed you use them and you are a natural.
2. I was supposed to be the one to protect and care for you guys, but I often found myself leaning on both of you. Your empathetic side allowed me to feel understood without having to explain anything, and I'm sure Artie agrees.
3. You are strong, but learn to share the burden. Don't keep your emotions bottled up inside.
Suddenly their iPad dinged, the police hadn't considered it a crime scene so didn't need to test for fingerprints or anything and they had been able to retrieve them.
