Timepass Chapter 2

It was just a normal Sunday morning in Beacon academy, some were sleeping some were training but our main characters, they were........ bored.

"What do we even do?, because of Raven we can't even go to the combat room for training" said Orion as Raven looked at him and shrieked

"Hey! it's not my fault that you dance more than you fight!" Raven said as Orion rolled his eyes

"Guys, let's just forget about it and move on, we only need to wait till next wednesday to be able to train without supervision" Tai explains as they all nod

Tai POV

I was sitting together with everyone else in circle and we were just talking for a while until Summer said something that caught our attention

"Hey guys, can we play Truth and dare?" Summer said as we all look at her, shrug and Qrow says a 

"Why not, let's play it" We all nod, he goes to his drawer and takes out a bottle of empty beer and said

"This will make it more fun than just pointing fingers, the one who spins it ask the question and the one who said the truth or dare is the one who spins next' Qrow explains us as we all nod

Qrow spinned the bottle and it landed on Willow

"Truth, don't give me an inappropriate question drunkard" Willow says as Qrow smirks with evil intensions

"Is it true that you and Levi are dating?" Qrow asks, knowing its not true but it gets Willow flustered and Levi just fake coughs

"No, no we're not Drunkard" Willow says as Qrow mutters a 'I have a name you know'

"OK my turn" Willow says as she spins the bottle and it lands on Summer

"Dare me, I am no coward" Summer explains as Willow says

"I dare you to dance like a monkey in the center of the circle for ten minutes straight, if you stop for more than five seconds you must restart" she says looking proud

"We are playing not giving our subjective exams" Qrow says as Willow says a 'quite drunkard'

Summer dances like a monkey and we get a good laugh, after the ten minutes were over she sits back down and spins the bottle, it lands on Levi

"Truth, don't give anything stupid" Levi says as Summer smirks

"Why do you hate smiling, you rarely smile, so I wanna know the reason" Summer says as the atmosphere turns heavier

"*sigh*when I was 5 something traumatic happened and I just don't feel like smiling because of it " Levi says leaving no room for discussion in his tone and then spins the bottle, it lands on Tai

"Truth me" I say as Levi says

"Do you fear someone?" Levi asks out of the blue as my mind went straight to Archer, I don't want to end up like him, He is the ideal that I can't afford to become

"Just a certain bowman" I say as they all squeeze their eyes at the cryptic message

"Can you tell us more?" ask Raven as I shake my head no

"Nah, don't wanna" I say as we continue the game

I spin the bottle and it lands on Glynda 

"Truth" she says as I ask her

"Why do you hate eating brussel sprouts? I was always curious about that" I ask as she shifts in her seat and says

"My mother..... her favourite food was brussel sprouts, she used to make those everyday,  I started to hate how they tasted, then when I wouldn't eat them, she would force feed them to me, and that's why I hate brussel sprouts" Glynda explains as i nod, my curiosity was sated.

Glynda spins it slowly and it stops at me, she used telekinesis didn't she I sigh inwards and say

"Truth" 

"Tell us more about that simple bowman, everything you know" she asks as I sigh and said

"He is known by many names, 'Iron wrought hero', 'the man who stands atop a hill of swords', 'the hero of Justice', 'the counter guardian of humanity'" I say as they all look at me in confusion

"'The hero of Justice?' that title seems to have a lot of responsibility, why was he given that? and why did you call him a simple bow man when his title literally says, the man who stands atop a hill of swords?" ask Glynda

"He was called the hero of Justice because he was or is still, he killed 1 so a thousand could live, he killed and killed for the sake of the greater good, he is a person who has lived a miserable life, it was his dream but he realised to late that his dream was not what he wanted, He was called the man who stands atop a hill of because he destroyed entire armies alone." I explain, even using ultimate bullshittery a little.

"I see...... why do you fear him?" she asks and not wanting to prolong this conversation

"I hate his ideals, to be honest I hate ideals as a whole" I say as they all look at me in confusion

"Why though?" ask Orion as I say

"A dream is choice you make yourself, whether you follow it or not is a choice, you are the one who reaps the rewards and the loss, but if you fight for ideals...... you can only ever save ideals, that's all you won't be able to save anyone, salvation at the hands of others is like currency, when used it passes down to another, ideals may live but in the end you won't be able to save anyone, not even yourself, Archer is biggest example of that" I say, explaining my thoughts to others  as I continue

"But that isn't how it needs to be, salvation at the hands of another is possible and if it does pass down, then it just means that in the future more people will help others, Archer was wrong about his ideals and I can agree to a degree, but just because he is correct doesn't mean that he is right!" I explain as they all stayed silent for a minute

"Just because he is correct, doesn't mean that he is right? what the hell does that mean?" Qrow says as i laugh at what I said unconsciously

I may not have ideals, but I do have a dream. To protect those around me and living a fulfilling life.

That was a timepass chapter I wanted to make for a while, todays hint for the story is about Tai's UBW Chant,  his chant will be mainly about not having regrets and letting his past go, that is his UBW's main theme, that was a fun chapter, see ya, and ofcourse any and all suggestions are welcome.
