Chapter 9

It was another day at the school, except that it wasn't.... It was a Sunday.

I woke and started my mourning workout (I have one of those now) and after that had a shower, I went back to the common room and saw that Glynda was awake and she looked distressed....

I go up to her and ask

"Hey, Glynda, are you ok, you seem really stressed." I said to her as she looks at me and lets it all out

"I do not know what to do with Orion! he is lazy, doesn't do any homework, does minimal in all his classes, I can't even, he straight up refuses to work with us in team exercises, and for some odd reason only gets involved whenever you are in anything" she said surprising me, I knew he was a little bit slacker but I never knew it was that bad,

why would he only join when I am there? did Tai know him? this confusing... 

"I suggest you confront him about it and hear him out about it, he might have a reason." I said as her face drops

"You know, it never hurts to take a side one in a while." she said referring to me always being in the middle of almost everything

"Not my style Glynda and you know it." I said in a lighter tone to hopefully lighten the mood a little

We get into the kitchen and cook our usual meal as we discuss how our first missions went, on her first mission, her whole team was quite and did not make any semblance of a conversation and professor Remi just took care of the Grimm while they got a few, apparently professor Remi is one of the best huntresses out there.

It was a shock to me, for whatever reason

Our teams came one by one to the common room and suddenly Levi of all people spoke

"Tai, I wanna fight you." he said with little to no regard of the people around us giving him weird looks

I was confused about why he would suddenly ask about a fight with me when we have barely talked in the last few months, we met a lot but stayed in silence which I appreciated.

"I want to have a spar with you, you are really strong, strong enough to defeat strong Grimm on your own, I have gotten really curious about your strength that I wanted to see it in action against me." he said while giving a bad feeling

suddenly Gilgamesh appeared behind me and said

"This mongrel does not give me a good feeling, he might be hostile so be mindful." Gil said to me as I acknowledged the potential threat as even Gil said it might be troublesome

I sigh and say

"After classes, in the courtyard, if I don't show up by 4, leave, I am probably busy then." I said with a poker face looking at him with serious eyes.

He nods and sits down waiting for the food, after that whole ordeal, everyone sits down and eat the food

timeskip to the fightttttt

It 3:30 and I am heading to the fight, classes ended at 3 today due to an extra class by Professor Abso.

I got there and Levi was already waiting, he had not even changed and just got his gear.

I sigh at his restlessness and set my scroll up and set its timer

The scroll started ticking down as we got into position, He took out his swords and readied himself, me being to lazy to get Kanshou and Byakuya vsm, just summoned the originals, it will be quite an interesting fight, we are both using dual short swords now.

As the timer hit 0, we both dashed towards eachother and his strength was overwhelming, he slashed towards me with a full power swing from his head top and it had so much strength that when I blocked it the Ground straight up broke into a huge as Crater, the entire courtyard broke. (like one of those anime craters that happens when a strong attack drops)

He looked at me in surprise as the scroll buzzes as it says that Levi's aura dropped to 0 from attacking me? how?

"Your probably thinking two hows, the power that I have is my semblance, ackerman, I can trade aura for more physical strength, I can basically convert my aura to potential energy and then release it for huge bursts of energy or an overall boost that slowly uses aura, I knew you were stronger than me so to have a shot at winning I used my last resort." he explained as he said the most words I have ever heard him say at one time

I was so dazed I just said

"Yeah, thats cool"

He looked at me and laughs, fucking laughs at my dazed self, Mr. Emo for life is actually laughing!? I'm pretty sure I am in a weird dream or something like that.

I looked over and shifted my attention towards the courtyard and saw its terrible condition and looked over at Levi and said

"Please tell me you had thought about, 'this'. " I said knowing full well that he did not

"Nope" as we went back inside to get Glynda to fix it for us
