Chapter 13

Tai POV

(timeskip 2 months)

Me and Orion were fighting hard in the forest close to beacon, I block his sword with My vsm swords and I push him back by pushing aura into my swords and bowing him back, he gets pushed back about 15 meters. I connect Kanshou and Bakuya vsm to form a bow and use it shoot a magic arrow which dented his aura.

To return the favour he sends a wave to fire at me which I use a aura burst to dash through while taking a decent hit of damage on my aura and pin him to the ground and put my sword on his neck to indicate that I ended the duel.

"Whew, I still can't make you use a supercharged weapon, if only I could use static void." Orion says as I sigh and say

"You know very well its not ready for combat yet, the last time you used it, you fainted after 10 seconds, for now increase your magic reserves and focus on control on it so you can use it effectively eventually." i say as he nods

Orion's growth was quite remarkable, he can use all the basic forms effectively and he has started to tap into Sylvia's power a little by little, his sword skill has increased by a lot and he has grown stronger than even Glynda I think. His grades have skyrocketed to, he is easily above average now.

I didn't slack off either, I asked Gil for some tips to increase my mana and a simple exercise and mana potion a day and my mana reserves (his weakest area) has quadrupled and this is just in 2 months, if I keep increasing at this rate in a few years I can spam excaliburs like nobody's business, I also modified my swords to make it so they can connect and form a bow, so I don't have to sheath them mid battle and then summon my bow. I have gotten stronger and Orion getting stronger so fast was a great motivation.

"Shit we are late" Orion says as I look at the time and see the clock at 7:30

"Shit, Accel" I use accel, yeah I learned time mage craft, incase I ever have to fight Orion at full power in the future

I used Accel and grab Orion and run back to beacon remembering I had teleport I used it and landed in an area of beacon without camera's and we run to the common room to see our teams sitting there and they looked at us and asked

"Where were you two?You guys are normally here before us showered up" Glynda asks as I say

"Sorry, we were running late from our training" I say as they all look in surprise

"You guys train together!" Everyone except Levi says as I give a confused look

"You guys just found out? I thought you guys knew?" I say as they all say

"No, we just thought Orion started to wake up early for his separate workout" Raven says as I shake my head no

"Are you guys dense, the guy suddenly goes zero to hero and you guys don't question it at all? I thought you guys put 2 and 2 together"I say in disbelief as they all look sheepishly

"Yeah, i guess that was weird we didn't notice" Summer says with a deadpan as they all sit back

We all went to the showers, dressed and made our way back to the common room, I made  the food for our teams and we were eating in peace until

"Tai, I think our team and team GLOW should split for a while, we are going to fight in Vytal and we should have some aces up our sleeves right?" Raven says completely disregarding team GLOW sitting right by us

"I think the opposite, our teams have become stronger because we train together, so I think we should stay as we are, especially because in Vytal we are not fighting to see the best team but representing our school."  I retort as she nods, it seems I have tamed to wild bandit'

We all eat in peace as it is time for combat class, matches go by as normally but when it came to Orion's turn, he was against his captain Glynda, it seems I can finally see my theory and se eif the power levels I calculated we correct.

They both got down and they readied there weapons, I taught both Glynda and Orion aura manipulation but both use it in different manners, Glynda used it to increase her semblances potency while Orion uses it like I do, to increase physical strength and speed.

The battle began and Orion made the first move by using a charge dash against Glynda, Glynda counters by using Gravity dust and making the air pressure around her heavy, making Orion is disadvantageous position, Orion smirks seeing this greatly confusing Glynda.

Orion directs a great amount of his aura to his legs and makes a giant leap and it seems the area above Glynda doesn't have the Gravity effect and he leaps onto Glynda from the top and she use a wave of fire to try and attack him, he goes for the pin while falling which Glynda dodges, after dodging glynda use fire and ice dust to make water around Orion and she uses lightning dust to shock him which deals a lot of damage, Orion is not 40%aura while Glynda is still at 100

Orion shakes it off and directs aura to his hands and THROWS HIS SWORD! Orion throwing his sword catches Glynda off guard and she failed to dodge it which did a lot of damage Glynda was at 50 while Orion was at 40, Glynda had an advantage still

Orion uses a aura burst to get close to Glynda while she was still in daze and engages her in hand to hand, I taught them both so they both are using the same style of combat for hand to hand. Glynda was about to get a good kick in but Orion uses a aura burst to jump away from her towards his sword which Glynda uses her semblance to throw out of the field.

Orion lets out a tch and uses a aura burst to get close but Glynda uses a wave of ice but wait, Orion uses two aura burst in moments notice to not only go around it but also gain momentum, it seems he wants to engage in hand to hand again, but why? 

Glynda had the upper hand but Orion did something nobody expected, he stopped moving, took a hit and did a judo flip on Glynda, pinning her and ending the battle. 

"That was a smart move on Orion's part, he doesn't have the versatility of Glynda's kit but he used his own kit to make smart moves, and the way he ended the fight was quite impressive to." Levi says as we all nod, at this point I never noticed but Levi had mellowed a little and was more open with us

"Gg?" Orion says offering a hand to Glynda

"Gg but I want a rematch later" she says as they both laugh

Both our teams have grown a lot, both our teams are comparable no definately stronger than huntsman in the future, at least the ones we saw. But why are most huntsman in rwby so weak? our feats far surpass theirs and what happened to the professors that teach us, both professor Abso and Remi are quite young and strong, what happened that made the power level drop that much?
