His eyes.

Beautiful yet so cold. But why?
Cold from the air that howled in through the open window or from the emotion, that was drowning, him inside to out.

It never needed to end like this. We could have been together. We will be. One day. Just not here. Not now.

His gaze slowly drifted towards the empty doorframe, almost as though he was motioning for someone to enter at his glance.

"Please" I whispered, not letting my eyes unlock from their fixed point on the gun.

still he said nothing, only I looked up at his face to see if there was any sign of remorse or a single spark of activity in his confounding mind.

Instead he grasped the trigger tighter, near to pulling it. Enough to scare me but not enough to make my body flinch uncontrollably just yet.
Still staring at the blank wall. Of which the bricks were slowly crumbling away, just like his mind, on the journey to its insanity.
The boy I knew would be gone, completely washed from any memories that existed of the two of us.

I couldn't cope with that pain. My sole began to cry out, searching desperately for the help that was never there.

WHAT DID YOU THINK😬
