Astrid's POV
I walked toward Hiccup who was leaning against his Ford.
"Hey," I said, and went to open the passenger side door, but he stopped me and opened it for me. I laughed at him.
"What a gentleman." I said sarcastically and sat down, inhaling the scent of pine trees and cologne. Hiccup sat down in the driver's seat, turned on the radio, and started driving. Suddenly, a Sia song came on and Hiccup started singing horrendously to it.
"I wanna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier!"
"Stop, stop, you're making my ears bleed." I said, and covered my ears.
"Good." He said with a smirk on his face and kept driving. We sat in a comfortable silence until Hiccup pulled up to the dirt path that led to the fairgrounds.
"So," I said, "What do you want to do first?" I asked, and Hiccup shrugged looking around the fair, his eyes darting from one thing to another. He obviously wasn't going to decide what we should do first.
"Come on! Let's go play that dart game." I said, and dragged Hiccup in the direction of the booth that the dart game was located at. Hiccup beat me twice, and won me a stuffed pink pig.
"It's so fluffy!" I said, and hugged it tight.
"Pigs aren't fluffy." He corrected and grabbed my hand. Immediately sparks flew up my arm, but I held my pig, and followed him to the spinning teacup ride.
We came off of that ride dizzy, but alive, and for the rest of the day I dragged Hiccup around, going to different rides, and eating different foods. Finally, when we'd spent nearly four hours at the fair, Hiccup suggested we go on the ride we'd saved for last; the Ferris wheel.
"Let's go!" I said, and grabbed his hand, dragging him toward the now short line to get on the Ferris wheel. Once the ride manager had strapped us both to the seat, I looked at Hiccup, and he smiled.
"Thanks for coming to the fair with me" I said,
"Thanks for inviting me." I turned and looked to my opposite side just as the ride lifted us up and we started going around.
"How many times does this go around?" Hiccup asked.
"Um, four times, I think." I said, and kept looking out of the car. I suddenly decided to remember my immense hatred to heights, and hid my face in Hiccup's chest.
"It's ok." He said, and ran his fingers through my hair. I counted how many times we had gone aroung, and when we were at the top for our fourth go around, Hiccup pulled me off of his chest and made me look at him.
"Look, I know you said you just wanted to be friends, but I can't do that." He said, and kissed me, only this time I wasn't nervous and I wasn't going to run away.
"I'm okay with that." I murmured.
HAI! Omigosh, Wattpad changed the website thingy, so that now, it's harder for me to give dedications, and I'm ticked off.
Anyway, thanks for reading, don't forget to vote, and ignore any mistakes.
Okay, let's see if I can actually dedicate this to someone. This chapter is dedicated to Cute_or_What because they followed me. Thank you!
