This is the sketch I used for the digital version. I edited the picture to make the lines darker. I did not mean to make this a full body and background... I had such problems with the sketch. I have never drawn a Leafwing before so I struggled so much with the wings.

This is my actual contest entry. I'm glad I did this because as I predicted I messed up on the wings in the traditional version. I'm still not incredibly impressed with the wings on this version either.

The lighting did really weird things to this drawing... The tree looks red instead of brown, the moons actually look like their glowing, and my shading in the purple looks blue.
These drawings took forever! The sketch alone probably took an hour and a half because I kept changing it! The digital coloring took six hours and twenty minutes not counting the times I started over because my picture of the sketch wasn't good enough! Finally the coloring of the traditional version took two hours. I worked on this all together for like ten hours! I didn't mean to spend near that much time on it...
I was going to post this yesterday but the lighting did even weirder things to my poor traditional picture... -Joy
