It's Silverserpent77's birthday today so I made art for her!! She's an amazing artist herself which you should go check out!

It's her sona Annie! She has a really pretty design and I had a lot of fun drawing her.

Here's some doodles of myself. I was trying to figure out how to simplify my style. The top right one was the closest to my normal style with some simplifications.

This was why I was trying to find a simpler style. I'm very proud of this. I really like the pose and facial expression for the fully shaded one. I struggle with both usually so the fact that they both turned out makes me happy.

I got Ohuhus!!! I used them on this drawing and I'm very pleased with them. I got double sided brush and chisel markers. My old markers had a fine nib instead of a brush nib. I prefer the brush nib so much! A little bit of backstory on these characters; The cat is a lynx but is larger than normal (it's supposed to be. It's not actually large enough) due to the magic in my fantasy world. The lynx bonded with the guy so know he stuck with it much to his dismay.

I drew the cat form of Joy. The pose is a bit basic because I hadn't planned to draw her. As you can see above Joy, there's marker that bled through from the other drawing because I forgot to put a paper behind it...

Sorry about the blurriness. This were basically three marker challenges I did in the car except my mom and younger sister chose the colors. My sister chose the colors on the left. I used a more painterly technique where I blobbed on the colors in the basic shapes and then layered the other colors. I had some problems with all of them except the girl because the colors were either too dark or they didn't layer prettily (←can't believe that's a word.)

These were supposed to be thumbnails for a drawing I'm working on currently. It didn't turn out that way... The character is young and my first attempt (top right) at that just turned out looking like a chubby teen. I also was using a pink pen to sketch so I didn't want to layer any colors that didn't look good with it.

This is what I was going for. I know how people say you should do thumbnails but I never do because either I put too much effort into the thumbnail or not enough.
I'll post again once I finish this drawing and a couple others! -Joy
