Black Hoodie pt. 2

That dark sea has taken me captive

And has tried to make me inactive.

It has pulled me under, despite my hoodie

Keeping me safe from the sea's "goodies."

These treats aren't for me but it doesn't let go

Of me under my body loses its weak glow,

Until I know

I'm out of the fight, I'm out of ammo.

Regardless of my hoodie, I'm swallowed whole

And gulped down further into the darkening hole,

Where the light is consumed before my body,

Where I can't be found by anybody.

It's down here that I am put to rest

After trying my entire life to be my best.

Being my best isn't enough,

So next time, I promise to be more tough.

What is the worst that can happen

When pain was what I was sitting in?
