Jordan's POV

Thursday couldn't have came fast enough.

It was torture getting to and from campus this past day. I had to rely on Uber. Now don't get me wrong, it's nothing wrong with me taking an Uber. But I didn't like my drivers or the waiting periods. But I had to make do.

Today was the day of my internship interview. I made it my priority to get up early and have breakfast.

It was currently 8:15AM and I was currently waiting on Nau'jour to come get me. I'd have my vehicle back by tomorrow and I cannot wait.

I looked at my outfit one last time in the mirror before I made my way downstairs to wait.

I put effort in my appearance today

I put effort in my appearance today. I wanted the part. So I'm dressing the part. Manifestation.

"You look good.", Kennedy stated as she sat down at the kitchen island eating her fruit bowl. She probably just came back from her early morning run.

I didn't see her when I came down earlier. Shes an early bird, go figure.

"Thank you.", I said to her smiling doing a 360 as she lowly whistled.

"So how do you feel?", she asked shoving a grape into her mouth and chewing slowly.

"Honestly. I feel so happy. But I'm trying to tone it down a notch. I don't want to jinx it you know. Sometimes when expectations are too high they might end in disappointments.", I stated my head slowly falling.

"Ah ah ah. Not with that that energy.", Kennedy stated reaching over the kitchen island lifting my head. "My friend is a winner. You are a winner. You go to that interview and kick ass.", she stated giving me a sloppy kiss on my cheek.

"Kennedy!", I exclaimed as I wiped at my cheeks. "You're so lucky I decided not to wear any makeup.", I stated laughing.

"I lifted your mood tho.", she stated eating a pineapple slice. "By the way. Love the lashes.", she smiled wagging her eyebrows knowing damn well she was the one who installed them.

Kennedy was a girl of many talents. Especially when it came to things of feminine care and cosmetics.

She hated being overpriced as it relates pampering herself and as a result she learned to do some things on her own.

If it wasn't for her demanding major  I know she would have already gotten her certifications and started her beauty business.

"Don't you feel awkward with Nau'jour taking you?", she asked after a minute of silence. "Darius would have taken you if you had asked him you know.", she added looking up at me.
