Jordan's POV
I woke up a whole girlfriend today. I thought to myself as I got ready to head to Capitol. My internship officially begun today.

I looked at myself in the mirror as I grabbed my handbag. After yesterday's sex match, I felt like a new woman.

My heels clacked against the hardwood floor as I made my way downstairs. Kennedy was not in the kitchen so she must be out for her morning jog .

I sent her a text in regards to my departure then  I locked up the house and went into my vehicle.

I had just backed out the drive way when my phone rang. The iPhone ringtone was just  obnoxious so early in the morning.

I quickly connected my phone to Bluetooth not even checking the caller ID.

"Hello darling.", I heard my mother's voice came
crackling through the speaker when the call connected.

"Hey mom.", I responded placing the car in drive as I took of down the street.

"I didn't wake you did I?", she asked, her voice tender.

"No mom. I'm actually heading to my internship.", I advised her.

I had told her about it when I had just gotten accepted. She was so ecstatic; my step father on the other hand was not.

He once again had made some suggestions to have some strings pulled to get me into Law School. I once again declined.

He does not hide his dislike for my major and I do not hide my dislike for him. I only speak to him because apart from his dislike for my course of study . He does treat me and my mother well.

He loves my mother and he does make her happy. I try to be civil with him at times because I know she hates when we bicker. I think he notices too.

The car ride to work was too short for my liking— the traffic was basically non existent and the chat with my mom ended to soon as a result of this.

I had  told my mom about my new relationship status and she was so happy for me.

I was a bit shocked when she mentioned that she had thought that I liked girls because I've never spoke of any boys or brought any home.

I parked my car as I took the phone off Bluetooth and placed it next to my ear. I exited the car as I made way towards the glass doors and with the company's logo.

"Well mom, I'll talk to you later. I'm going in now.", I advised her as we said our goodbyes with promises of speaking to each other later.

I placed my phone in my bag as the doorman opened the door for me. "Thank you.", I had told him with a smile.

I walked past the receptionist who was deep in conversation with Tyson.

They both looked up as I passed by and I bid them both Good Morning and made my way to floor where I will be located with the rest of the interns.
