Sakura and Nayru were playing with their sticks, as every single morning they do. Grandpa though, was scolding people... A LOT. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?", He scolded, "WHY AREN'T YOU WORKING TO HELP IMPROVE THIS LAND?". Grandpa was really sweet to his daughters, but sometimes he would get agitated and start yelling. He still was a good grandfather to the girls though.
Sakura and Nayru screamed delightfully as they ran up and down the hills, trying to poke each other. "HOLY STICK!" Nayru yelled and Sakura repeated. Of course, Solem was there with them. Grandpa had warned him, "You better watch over my girls. One scratch one them, and you're gone." So, Solem, not wanting to die, of course, said ok. Nayru rolled into the dirt and got a little bruise. The twins laughed as they both rolled in the dirt, trying to hit each other. Sakura hit Nayru. "YAY! 20 points for me!" Sakura declared. The girls played a game with those sticks. You would earn points if you hit someone. Nayru made a grouchy face and Sakura smiled. Solem didn't want to even be near these annoying girls, as usual. Nayru got up and started to chase Sakura. The twin sisters reached the river. They started to poke each other yet again but Sakura's stick flew and they heard a splash. Sakura stopped smiling. "I'll go get it," Nayru said and went into the river. Solem was about to stop her, but she was already in the river. Nayru swam up and grabbed Sakura's stick. While Nayru was swimming back, she heard a rustle in the leaves. She floated in the water and yelled back to her sister, "Extra bonus points if you poke the thing hidden in the trees!" She commented. Obviously, Sakura wanted the bonus points. The twin sister raced across the river. Nayru did have an advantage since she was already in the river, but the sisters still tied in the race. They jumped out of the water and searched for the animal or person hidden. A loud wail echoed through the forest. Solem immediately jumped over the girls and looked around, ready to fight any danger. The girls just laughed. "You're horrible at this game. You aren't going to get the bonus points," Nayru laughed and skipped around. Solem literally felt like grabbing the girls and scaring them off. He was sick and tired. The twins thought it was all a game! Solem sat down on the ground. "I have given up. Nothing bad will happen, I can just stay here. I really need a break." He thought.
Sakura and Nayru traveled together. Along the way they saw someone. A little girl, was sitting on a rock, screaming her lungs out. The girls walked up to her and Nayru asked, "Who are you?". The stranger looked at the twins. "I'm Sapphire. I've been living in these forests, hidden. I'm 10 years old." Sakura and Nayru smiled at her with excitement in their eyes. "Wanna come with us? We live right there on top of the hill!" Sakura pointed at the hill. "For now though, do you want to play this game with us?" Nayru questioned. Sapphire had doubt, but she agreed. She hadn't had any fun in years! "I'm going to have punch and kick powers!" Sapphire announced. So, if Sapphire kicked/punched someone, she would get a point. Sakura, Nayru, and Sapphire started to play the game. "KICK!" Squealed Sapphire. For the first time in years, she was smiling and having a whole bunch of fun. They played for about an hour, until Solem got a slight hint of worry. "Where on Earth did these two go? What's taking them so long? These people play so much," He mumbled. Solem walked through the forest, following their scent. Since his spirit animal was a wolf, he could track down animals or people pretty fast. Soon, he saw not two, but THREE girls playing together. "STOP! What are you doing? Come on Sakura and Nayru, let's go back to camp. Leave this girl here," Solem commanded. "NO! She's playing the game with us! She's going to come with us!" The girls insisted. Solem shook his head, and then tears started to fall down the twins' cheeks. Solem stopped. If he returned, with the girls all crying like this, Grandpa would surely hurt him. He sighed and agreed. On the way back, Solem found out who the girl was.
Sakura, Nayru, Solem, and the new girl, Sapphire, came back to camp. Solem immediately took Sapphire to Grandpa. If he found out some stranger was playing with his daughters, he surely would be infuriated... AT HIM. "Look, Chief, we found this person in the forest. Grandpa turned around and looked at the girl. She started to introduce herself, but she got interrupted by Grandpa saying, "Sapphire.... Is it really you? We looked for you for ages! Where were you? Sapphire... My youngest grand daughter..." Grandpa walked over and hugged Sapphire. Though she was confused. How did this random person she had never met know her name?
