Lynn and Snowballs

Author's Note: By the way, in the land everyone plays or knows about the game, except in Sakura and Nayru's game, the powers that they choose they actually get.

"Hey did you get the food and water?" Sapphire asked. The others nodded, except Sakura and Jinx since they had stayed with the girl, so called Lynn. "Excellent food and water for the girl! Well... The food might be not that great since we are in a desert... Though the water is TASTY!" Nayru exclaimed.
Suddenly, a coughing sound came. "The girlie! She's waken up!" Suzan shouted. The girl opened her eyes. They all crowded around the girl. Sakura and Nayru jumped forward and screamed, "WANT TO JOIN OUR GAME?!" Lynn panicked, and then growled.
"Solem," She said in a bitter tone.
"Ok. I've been waiting to long. WHAT WAS YOUR RIVARLY?" Sakura asked.
Lynn took a deep breath. "Well..." She started. "I use to work for the queen. She ordered me to go to the forest, and take it from Solem. We got into a few fights...And I ran away, hurt. The queen got mad at me about that I failed my task. She told the guards to set up 'The offense'. It's where the queen sucks out the power from you. She tried to suck the power out of me, but luckily you people saved me. Thank you. Also, I would like a healing stick for your game."
"We've been enemies ever since," Solem said.
"Can't we just let go of the past?" Edwin asked.
Solem and Lynn looked at each other.
"Come on!" Jinx pleaded.
"Fine. Though whenever we camp or do hunting, she's not going to be my partner," Solem announced.
Everyone cheered. Then, they ate the food and drank the water that the others had gone looking for. There was cactus, which most of them said no thank you too, but luckily one of them had found one, tiny little patch of berries. Everyone enjoyed that. After their small feast, they all started to play the game. Edwin had a stick in his backpack, so he gave it to Lynn. "Well at least one of the things in their game doesn't harm people," Solem muttered. Suzan suddenly disappeared. "Hey, I fond a hole he! Kinda stuck!" Suzan yelled. Everyone crowded around the hole. One by one, carefully, each one of them jumped down. Lynn used her healing stick to heal everyone. The hole was steep, and they didn't have a ladder to jump down from. Lynn really didn't feel like healing Solem, but she did it, for her other new friends. "It's not a hole, it's a tunnel," Edwin remarked. The others stood in awe. Why was there a random tunnel in the middle of a desert. "We should see where it leads," Sapphire commented. The others agreed, and so they started to walk through the tunnel. The tunnel's look started to change. First, the walls were made out of sandstone, then they looked like they were coated in snow. Suzan bumped into a wall. The tunnel had ended. There was a very old ladder that lead out of the tunnel. Each one of them climbed out. The girls all started to laugh and roll on the ground. They were in a snowy area.
All the of them looked at each, asking what to do. They decided to do something later, but first, they should have a snowball fight. "We've lived in snowy mountains for years, we are pretty good at snowball fights," Nayru commented. "Our aim is excellent too," Sakura continued. So, the snowball fight began. "Do I have to play? I don't really like any types of fights," Lynn said. The others were ok with that, so Lynn just spectated the fight.
There were no real teams, but some people were halfway allies. All of them built their forts, and then when everyone was done, the game began. Everyone started to fight each other, but poor Solem was everyone's main target. He was the first one to get piled up with snowballs. "Why me?" He said. The others started to laugh. Solem got angry, and he didn't even notice that he was turning into a wolf. The others back away, getting a bit scared. "Umm.. What's happening?" Sapphire stammered. Solem pounced on the others. Suzan turned into her leopard form and blocked off Solem's paw. Solem growled, "I never lose, and never to you people!" The others looked at each other. They knew exactly what to do. Everyone started to use their powers, and soon the ordinary snowball fight became a 'who is the most powerful' fight. At the end, only two remained- Sakura, and Nayru. "I can't believe I have to fight against my own sister," Sakura said. "How about we just say we both win?" Nayru suggested. Sakura seemed delighted, and so with that, the game ended. Luckily nobody was there to watch the group having the fight. All the people who lived in the snow were too busy, as they were having hibernation.
"Well, let's set up camp, near those snowy trees," Edwin suggested. The others nodded in agreement. They set up camp, and then they decided to get some more food and water. They were all very hungry from the "snowball" fight. Sakura, Nayru, and Sapphire were sent out to get the food and water, while the others guarded camp or made the camp more comfortable to stay in. "Sapphire, how about you go get the water, while Nayru and I get food," Sakura said. So, Sapphire went on her own way to get water.
Sapphire walked through the snow covered trees. "The trees look like ice cream cones," Sapphire laughed. Suddenly, a low grumbling sound came. It sounded familiar to Sapphire, as if she had heard it before. The sound got louder, and Sapphire realized what or who it was. She had heard stories about it, but she always thought the people were joking. Or maybe she was just hallucinating. Though the sound... It was so real. Sapphire started to run. She had to escape it. She heard it coming for her, it was so close. It could eat her up in any second. Then, Sapphire decided to do something she never would have done before. She was going to fight it. There was no way out. The only way out was to fight it. Sapphire stopped, and turned around to face the beast. "The corrupted arctic wolf," She sternly said. The wolf charged at her with full speed, and Sapphire's mind stopped working. Her instincts took over, and she realized she was morphing. She was morphing into a arctic wolf. Her hands became paws, she got a tail. Just as the corrupted arctic wolf was about to dig its paw into Sapphire's heart, she rolled over and the wolf hit the ground. Sapphire jumped on top of the fallen wolf, and dug her paw into the wolf's body. "Your game is over, corrupted arctic wolf," Sapphire announced. After the wolf had chosen its evil blue eyes for good, Sapphire smiled and became a human again. "I did it! I found my spirit animal!" Sapphire cheered. She walked on, and soon found a huge pond. She filled up the containers that the others had given to her, and started to head back for camp.
Sakura and Nayru continued on with their search for food. They were nearing snowy mountains, and still hadn't found anything. "How much longer? We haven't even found one berry!" Sakura and Nayru whined. They traveled on, until a loud roar was heard. "Oh no.." Nayru trailed off. A lion came through the snow. It roared at the two twin girls and jumped at Sakura. "NO!" Nayru cried. She suddenly felt herself turning into something else. Nayru turned into an arctic wolf, ran in front of Sakura, and blocked the hit of the lion. Her paw went straight into the lion's face. The lion's face started to bleed, and the lion quickly ran off, afraid that he'll get hurt even more. "Thanks sis! Hey look, you Rouen your spirit animal!" Sakura said. Nayru nodded, she was so glad that she finally found her spirit animal. Another loud sound came. The girls assumed it was a lion, but it turned out to be something else. Snow from on top of the mountains started to come downhill, straight for the girls. "Run!" Sakura yelled. The girls started to run, but Nayru was behind. The avalanche hit Nayru, and she was buried beneath snow. Sakura wailed, and ran back. She started to dig the snow so she could reach her sister. "If only I had paws that dig fast! These human hands don't do any good! I've only taken off two inches of snow!" Sakura complained. It was getting desperate. You can only survive for a certain amount of time when you're covered in layers of snow. Nayru's time for survival was running out. Sakura started to panick. She dug faster and faster, trying to rescue her sister. Then, she felt something odd. She looked down back at her hand, and it was a tiny paw. A red fox's tiny paw. The fox paw dug through the snow like anything, and soon Sakura had got ridden of all the snow. "Sis! Are you ok?" Sakura asked in concern. Nayru coughed out a bit of snow and said, "You found your spirit animal Sakura. We both did." Sakura smiled. They both had such a strong sisterly bond.
Sakura and Nayru soon found a patch of berries in the snowy forest, and also many other vegetables and fruits. They also got some meat, but Sakura didn't really like meat at all. Now she knew why, her spirit animal was a red fox. The twins started to go back to camp with the food they had.
