Author's Note: Ok, I posted another photo of the three sisters! It's drawn by CoyoteFang. Also, this whole chapter is written by Calliope37 .

While walking, Jinx saw a butterfly flittering around. She gasped. Its wings were made of the most vibrant pinks, purples, and yellows she had ever seen! She could almost hear it whispering to her, 'Follow me!' For a second, she glanced at her friends, but then turned away. She wouldn't be gone long.

She kept following the butterfly, trying to catch it in her bare hands, when it stopped. She grabbed it, but when she touched it, it shriveled into dust. She suddenly realized that she had followed the butterfly into a dark room. Behind her was the exit she had come from- the only source of light in the room. She began to run back- she had to get back to her sister and the others! Just before she could reach the door, it slammed shut, blocking out all light. She kept running, but she couldn't find the wall in front of her. Something was definitely wrong. Heart thumping so loud, she was sure even her friends would be able to hear it, she turned around. Her breath shaking, she took a step forward. She stopped, and heard a*creeeeek* like a door opening, and a figure waked out. Jinx gasped.

The figure was a young lady, in her teens, with gleaming black hair and radiant green eyes with a hint of a smile in them. On her head was a crown of glass, faintly green, in the shape of vines and flowers. She wore acloak of purple fabric, and Jinx could just glimpse a hint of red wool on the underside. Underneath this she wore a purple dress, and on her feet were purple flats, with a ribbon of red tied on each one. In the crook of one arm she carried a book that looked quite ancient. She was *beautiful.* But that wasn't the amazing part about the lady. She was glowing. Literally. She was practically*translucent. *The girl twirled around as if without a care in the world, and jinx suddenly realized at the girl was familiar, but she wasn't sure where she had seen her before. Then Jinx saw it- a ring on the girl's right hand, a silver band with a ruby in the middle. Just like the one she wore around every day. Jinx gasped.

This must be her in the future! It was just as she always dreamed- the coat, the dress, the crown! Why, this was *beyond*her wildest dreams! That book she was carrying- was it not a book of hexes and spells? Just as she always wished would happen- she could perfect her magic and grow learning spells! She practically basked in the light radiating from the older girl.

*Myself in the future! *She thought. "Yes, it will be, on one condition." The older Jinx stopped swirling, but there was still a smile on her face. Obviously it wasn't her who had spoken. But then who was it? The voice had been soft and gentle, like a mother speaking to a child. "Who- who are you?" Jinx gasped, barely able to speak.

Another figure came forward. She was glowing like the older Jinx, but wasn't translucent, and seemed much more real. She was also quite older- probably in her thirties- but she looked kind and caring, but had a hint of something else in her eyes. She wore the same purple cloak, but her dress and shoes were black. "Get all of your dreams come true, and all you have to do is play my game!" the lady said. It was the same voice that had spoken earlier! "Oh, and one more thing. Something else you've always wanted," the lady said. Older Jinx moved aside her cloak and revealed a hand hidden by her side. Jinx gasped. A wand?

The lady reached out her hand. "Join me," the lady repeated. Jinx moved towards her, breathing heavily, when she paused. "What about my friends?" The lady seemed to falter for a second, but then smiled. Now Jinx could see that it was over exaggerated. "Why, they'll be fine." "But they're my friends!" Jinx shouted. The woman frowned. "Fine then. Have it your way,"the lady replied.

The light disappeared, as did the Future-Jinx. The real Jinx turned around in circles. "Where are you?" she asked. Suddenly she felt a body leap on her and a cool surface at her throat. "Join me," she heard the woman whisper. "It will be fun, and all your wishes will come true." It was a knife. The lady had put a knife to her neck. "And you won't be needing that silly stick." Jinx heard a crack. Her magic stick! She bit back a sob. "What do you want?" she cried. The lady just laughed.

Suddenly Jinx was filled with rage. She morphed, but something was different. "Get off of me!" she shouted. She heard the lady land with a thud. Jinx hurriedly found the two pieces of her magic stick on the ground, and looked around. Cats had night-vision! Of course! Jinx leapt to the exit, found it open, and walked out. Now in the sun, she realized what was different- she was a panther, not a simple house-cat! Jinx had found her spirit animal.

Contented, she shifted back into a human and gazed at the forlorn remains of her stick. A tear fell on it, and a branch erupted from the surface of one side, and wove around the other. A voice inside her said, 'It's not the stick that's magic, it's you who powers it.' Jinx smiled and turned away to find her friends.
