06 - Precautions Taken

When we got to the dormitory, I told Wendy that I didn't know what this place really was. But seriously, I have no idea. Nakabalik na din si Daphne sa kaniyang dorm ihinatid namin ito bago pumunta saming dorm. Iniwan na din kami ng kambal at ni Haru-kun ng maihatid kami sa aming dorm. 

Halos ayaw nga humiwalay sa'akin ni Aki-kun kanina, gusto pa sana makisleep over. I chuckled remembering his disbelief face when Azu-kun and Haru-kun dragged him away. Para siyang batang nagwawala kasi hindi na bili yung gusto niyang laruan. 

Napatingin ako kay Wendy at napatigil sa pag-iisip nang marinig ko itong napabuntong hininga. Napahilot nang kaniyang sentido si Wendy na muhkang may malalim na iniisip. Nakaupo kami ngayong dalawa sa aming kama, magkaharapan kaming dalawa ngayon. You can clearly see the strain on her face.

"Okay. You're telling me that you.." Itinuro ako nito. "Don't know what this place really is?" Napatango naman ako. "Like for real?!" Napasigaw niya na tanong.

I just smile at her, napaface palm naman ito. Muhkang na dismaya ito, I don't know why though. Sa unang araw ko lamang dito wala naman akong napansin na kakaiba. Maliban na lang sa courtroom na pinanggalingan namin kanina. I had no idea that the school had a courtroom. 

"Ah, I should have known since you look... " She looked at me from head to toe. "Look innocent yet, very charming." Dagdag nito. Hindi ko alam kung insulto ba 'yun o ano. Pero muhkang hindi naman insulto kasi wala sa itsura ni Wendy ang mang-insulto ng tao. 

I know. I judged too quickly. I chuckled. "I'll take that as a compliment." I said.

Nakibit balikat naman siya. "Well, It is a compliment." Ani naman nito.

"So, are you not gonna tell me about this place?" I asked. Napaayos naman siya ng kaniyang upo at seryoso na napatingin sakin.

"Look Kanao.." She stared at me seriously. "I don't want to die just because I told you your Dad was an asshole because he didn't tell you about this awful place." Seryosong sabi nito. Awful place? 

I tilted my head. "He did give me a warning."

"Just a warning? Yun lang, seriously?" Napatango naman ako. "Wow, what a wonderful father." Sarcastic na sabi nito. I let out a little laugh. Wendy paused and looked at me. "Hindi mo naman siguro sasabihin kay papa mo na.. I'm mocking him, right?" May pagkaalala sa boses nitong tanong sa'akin. 

Napangiti ako sa sinabi niya. Kahit dito sa Pilipinas kinatatakutan yung pamilya namin. "You know if I'm not a good friend, I'll sell you out for being rude to my Dad." Muhkang natakot naman si Wendy sa sinabi ko. "But, don't worry I won't tell anyone." She looks relieved after what I said.

Napaayos ng upo si Wendy bago nagsalita ulit. "But, seriously, he should tell you a lot about this place. Like a good father, right?  "

Ah, right. A good father. "Hm... What can I say my dad likes to challenge me because I am the only girl in our family." I said, recalling the times my father gave me many challenges. I don't know why, but maybe to prove myself or something.

I don't mind it, but I also love to challenge myself. I think it will be a win-win situation.

Naalala ko pa 'nung bata pa ko iniwan ako nito sa gitna ng gubat. Yung gubat na 'yon ay property na malapit lang sa mansion namin. Iniwan ako nito na walang gamit na dala kundi isang kutsilyo lang. He told me to take matters into my own hands and go home safely. However, I did returned home safely with a few injuries.
