chapter one -

HE WASNT interested in love, for his whole life it was only fights that kept his body pumped up. Violence here, violence there- he likes to see it everywhere. Even if he were to be interested in a relationship, no one would even dare talk to him. He was delinquent and at most students would stereotype them being the aggressive students who only solely looks for fights in school. Who would even want to befriend them?

But that was in middle school- and he's already in highschool.

Leaving the delinquent world was a big step for him- to leave the things he love behind his back and continue on with a normal life that his mother hopes for him to have.

An empty classroom where he would stay in every single day is when he can find peace in a place filled with noisy people. Baji hopes and prays to god that he won't accidentally punch a student's face out of boredom otherwise his mother would be upset at her own son that she had raised for her whole life.

The young man sighs, leaning behind his seat. A small gentle breeze that came in for a few seconds made the curtains flow out gracefully and rustling sound of trees and leaves that can be heard in a certain distance.

It was after school this time, most students would go out and hang with their friends. Some might attend club activities while others would just skip- maybe their club was boring for them to continue on attending.

And he was one of them.

"Where the hell is Chifuyu..." Baji groans- during this time his partner would come by and accompany him during the whole afternoon but it seems like he was really taking his time getting here.

He was impatient, kinda. But the uncomfortable silence that has been surrounding him for more than fifteen minutes wants to put the whole school on fire.... He was kidding but still.

"You got this, [name]!" The person beside you cheers you on. Your heart wavers at the thought of being together with the man you admire. You swallowed, gripping on the sides of your skirt and pressing on your lips together, making it into a thin line.

Love at first sight? Maybe but seeing his figure if it's just walking, talking, or standing, makes your heart beat nonstop. And the flushed face you make whenever you steal a glance at the young man whom you admire- you have to tell him your feelings that you were having or else it might be too late.

Chifuyu takes a grip on both of your shoulders, you stared at him, blinking. "Don't let this chance ruin it!" The young man tries to reassure your anxious looking figure. "I gave you my time today to talk with, Baji-san! I won't give another time unless if you'll buy me some things that I might need for Peke J!" He leans towards your face and you swiftly backed up with a flushed face. His face was so close to yours, who wouldn't be flustered by that?

The school hallway were empty, good- you didn't want any one to see the position you and Chifuyu were in. It would be embarrassing and humiliating at the same time- people might also get the wrong idea that both you and Chifuyu are dating or in a relationship.

You released the grip you had on your skirt and slowly raised your hands up to block his face from your flustered ones. "I get it, I get it."

And eventually Chifuyu backs up with a small pout visible to his face. He huffs and crosses his arms together, looking away from your figure. "You're gonna be in this all alone if you won't listen to me."

"Please," Sweat starts to drop from a side of your forehead. "I just wanted to tell him that I like him- it's not like I wanted him to become my boyfriend. It's too much..."

"Whatever you say," Rolling his eyes. You sighed and your head is in a mess. Who knows if you mess up later during the confession you would make.

Chifuyu met you after school petting and giving the cat a food that him and Baji had found days ago after a rain. Unfortunately both of them couldn't take the cat back to their homes so they decided to check up on it time to time. The sound of your soft voice calling out to the stray cat caught his attention, your arms that had a few scratches that came by from the cat. And during that day Chifuyu tangled himself into your life.

The young man lets his arms falls to the side, he sighs. "Let's hurry up. Baji-san's gonna go crazy, we already took up so much time."

You look at Chifuyu who was already taking steps away from your figure, walking towards where Baji is staying. Chifuyu helped you getting to be together with Baji- like as in a couple. You've hesitated so many times during those days but it was just now when you asked for his help. Moreover, both you and Baji barely knows eachother. There wouldn't be any chemistry between both teenagers.

The soud of the door to the classroom opens. Finally, his partner was here. Baji was about to trash the classroom up if Chifuyu didn't opened the door at the right time.

"Chifuyu, what took you so long man- Oh?" Baji stops after seeing your figure standing right infront of him, his face was left in disappointment. "You're not Chifuyu."

Heart pumping fast as if it were to be explode any second while talking at the ravenette sitting in his chair. You let out an awkward chuckle, you got his hopes high that the person who came in might be his trusted friend.

"Sorry for taking your time but..." You started, eyes that were avoiding the blank stare he was giving at your figure.

Baji ponders who this girl is standing infront of him. Might be a schoolmate or a batchmate for his level. But he has never seen you nor remember interacting with you. He barely pays attention at other students as well, so maybe that's also why. He raises a brow, you've been silent for too long.

One time chance! Chifuyu's voice echoes at the back on your mind. He's right this is only a one time chance- there wouldn't be any chances left sooner or later. You sighed, letting your emotions bottle up before it overflows. And with simple words you said, "I like you."

"Can I be your lover?"
