Chapter 38

Hearing the announcement, she ran to the gate eagerly. She scanned left and right without blinking her eyes. There, a beam of shiny bright light appeared in her beautiful brown eyes.

A tall, handsome, gentleman in a black suit came out of the entrance like a prince. Without further due, she waved at him rapidly to get his attention by screaming his name. Everyone stared at her with a confused face and an intense gaze.

However, she didn't care about their presence, but waved and showed the paper full of writing for him to see.

'I, KIM YOONA <3 BYUN BAEKHYUN HEARTFULLY! You're my PRINCE. THANK you for loving me all this time and I LOVE YOU. Will you MARRY ME?'

The paper was full of her thoughts that she wanted to tell him wholeheartedly. She wrote everything with sincerity. Surrounding the paper, there were many small letters in sentences that she wrote, but they were barely seen from afar. Baekhyun grinned with embarrassment. He ran to hug her tightly with the glass fence in between them. He was the happiest, most delightful, most gleaming at the airport. It was like his crush proposed to him without thinking about other people surrounding him.

Seeing a young couple confessing to each other, the passengers clapped for them enthusiastically. They were amused by her confidence, her screaming for her loved one.

They stared at each other deeply until their lips met. Baekhyun kissed her passionately in front of many passengers. He couldn't control his emotions with his beloved here. He had been waiting for her for a long time. 9 years!!! The kiss was full of love and longing, with a bright smile in between the breath.

Realizing the reality, they stopped kissing because of the embarrassment and the sea of eyes.

"Wait! Don't go anywhere! Wait here! I'll go see you." Baekhyun told her with enthusiasm to wait at the same spot as he would run for life to find her here.

After running hurriedly, he stopped at the track again before coming to her. He felt this was a dream. He couldn't believe if this was real or not. He had a mixed expression on his face. Happy? Disbelief? Yoona was dazed and curious about his actions.

'What is he doing? Why does he stand fixedly there?' Yoona's thoughts.

Empathizing his thought, Yoona ran to hug his arm in arm with the affection of her love. Baekhyun came back to his senses and hugged her tightly as he knew this was reality. This really happened! After that, they interlocked their hands firmly without releasing them throughout the walk to the entrance.

"Sorry to interrupt! Boss, do you want me to give you a lift?" His secretary had been walking behind all this time while feeling the second embarrassment of their affection. Her boyfriend came to pick her up, so she offered them the ride. Hearing his secretary's voice, Yoona was surprised and embarrassed because she didn't know about her presence at all.

"It's OK! You can go with your boyfriend first. We will get a taxi here." Baekhyun didn't want to interrupt her personal life. After that, they bid goodbye.

The taxi came and they stepped into the car after putting the luggage. The lovebirds still held each other's hands while smiling brightly.

Flashback

Baekhyun's POV

I arrived at the airport after a long flight from France. I still felt jetlagged from the long ride. Stepping out of the exit gate, I heard someone screaming my name loudly. The owner of the voice seemed to be a person that I knew, so I turned my gaze to the voice. There, I saw a beautiful girl holding a paper with vibrant words on it.

I was really surprised by the message that she conveyed, especially the last question. This was the question that I had wanted to ask her long ago. However, I couldn't ask her this as we had just dated for a month and I was afraid that she wouldn't accept my proposal. Seeing the question with my naked eyes felt surreal.

I couldn't believe that she asked me first here, in the most crowded place with national and international people. I couldn't suppress my feelings. I went to hug her tightly with the feeling of yearning for her and excitement.

Staring intensely into her eyes for her approval, I kissed her passionately. This was our first kiss and will be the best memory of my life. I will not forget this kiss. After the kiss, I whispered gently to her ears with affection, 'Yes, I will and... only you.'.
