The rest of the week honestly went by in a blur. The week has been so hectic that I feel like this is the first time, in the airport, I've actually sat down and taken a breather.
I rest my head on Scarlett's shoulder while she types away on her phone. I close my eyes and try to turn all the noise around me into soft murmurs. Scarlett visibly relaxes with my head on her shoulder as she rests her head on top of mine.
After a day or two of my interview with Ellen, we decided to meet up and catch up. We realized that we were both planning to fly to New York around the time so we decided to just book the flights together.
So here we are sitting and waiting to board our flight. I must've fallen asleep because the next thing I know, Scar was shaking me lightly.
"Hey babe, we can board our plane," she informs me as I get up stretching my limbs quickly.
We make our way into the plane in search of our seats and once we find them we settle as quickly as we can.
{Time Skip}
After what seemed like such a long journey, Scar and I made it to her place. I was going to book myself a hotel but she insisted on me staying with her since she has a guest room. We had a quick snack and made some small talk with Colin before we decided it's time for bed.
The next morning, I was woken up by the natural light seeping through the curtains. I personally think that's the best way to wake up.
We all collectively decided to have a slow chill morning today, unfortunately, I wasn't able to see Rose since her dad picked her up today to stay with him for the weekend. Colin ended up doing his own errands while Scarlett and I lounged around before we had to get ready for MK's and Ashley's exclusive party.
When the time came Scarlett and I went to our rooms to get ready separately. After trying on about 10 dresses I finally chose one. I look at myself in the mirror and smile confidently with my outfit choice. Good job.
Scarlett and I arrive at the party together but we separated pretty quickly after that. She's totally more of a social butterfly than me, that's a fact.
I make my way around, saying hi to the people I actually know before I found the Olsen twins.
"Ah! Alycia you finally made it!" MK says excitedly before giving me a bone-crushing hug.
"MK, let her go. She's turning blue," Ashley playfully scolds MK and gives me a less suffocating hug than her twin sister.
"This is beautiful. Y'all really popped off at this party," I praise looking around amused.
"Why thank you, dear! How was the flight?" MK asks
"For some reason yesterday the travel journey to New York seemed like it was never-ending. I honestly blame the gloomy weather." I explained and catches a waiter walking around with a tray filled with champagne glasses. I smile and snatch myself one and take a sip after toasting with the two.
After some catching up, Ashley grabs my wrist pulling me towards a direction, "Come on! We want to introduce you to someone!"
Ashley grabs the woman's shoulder turning her around to introduce the blonde to me, "Lizzie I'd like you to meet - "
"Miss Alycia Debnam Carey, it's finally nice to meet you." Lizzie cuts Ashley off which earned her a smirk.
"Likewise Miss Elizabeth Chase Olsen." I smile back at her and I offer a hand for her to shake but she shakes her head no and quickly pulls me into a hug.
"So all the Olsen's are huggers, noted," I joke and squeeze her before letting go.
"That might be true but I'm still the better Olsen." Lizzie states matter of factly which then made the twin scoff.
I laugh at their antics, "Sorry you two but I have to agree with Lizzie on that one."
Lizzie laughs at her sisters' shocked faces and it almost seems like she even had a tiny blush creep onto her cheeks.
"Um, rude!" Ashley exclaims and slaps my arm, pretty hard might I add.
"It's fine, she's only saying that because she obviously has a tiny crush on Lizzie." MK shoots at me with a smug look on her face.
I see that she's trying to get under my skin to get a reaction. Haha jokes on her.
"Well I mean, who doesn't have a crush on Lizzie, have you seen her?" I smile presenting Lizzie to the twins which made the twins roll their eyes. Lizzie laughs at me and I can 100% say that she is totally blushing now.
As soon as the twins leave Lizzie opens her mouth to say something but got interrupted by someone calling her over. She sends me an apologetic look and I wave her off. "It's no worries, go. We'll talk later, I promise." She seemed to be satisfied with my answer and rushes off.
I went around greeting and conversing with people I knew, as well as some people who I never met before.
Two hours went by and I found myself wandering to the garden outside. I take a sip of my red wine taking in the breeze that hits my exposed skin. The atmosphere out in the garden was peaceful with only a handful of people lounging around in contrast to the packed busy party inside.
I sit on one of the chairs under the lights.
I'm honestly surprised that there's not a lot of people out in the garden. It's beautiful.
"There you are." I turn around to the voice that interrupted my train of thoughts, I smile as Lizzie smiles back approaching me.
She sits on the chair beside mine, "I've been looking for you for 20 minutes now."
"And why is that Miss Olsen?" I tease taking a sip of my wine.
She smiles widely, "I remember you promising me that we'd talk."
"Oh, that's right! How can I forget?" she giggles at my response.
If I didn't know any better, I wouldn't catch on to her playful flirting.
"Well, Lizzie, why don't we play 21 questions?"
"Go ahead, you start Miss Carey."
