When they were ready for take-off Lizzie turned to Alycia to start a small talk hoping that it could turn into an actual conversation. Though the moment Lizzie turned her head to talk to the woman beside her, the brunette slips on her noise-cancelling headphones with music already playing. The blonde watches as the brunette slightly angles herself to face the window as she opens a book to read. The blonde sighs and faces the monitor in front of her and decides to play movies for the next couple of hours instead.

Lizzie feels a tap on her shoulder and she opens her eyes to see the culprit but she ends up furrowing her eyebrows in confusion when she lifts her head. She looks at where her head was resting and small dust of pink covers her cheeks at the revelation that she was sleeping on Alycia's shoulder. She looks up at Alycia with a cautious look, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to rest on your shoulders."

The brunette feels bad at the cautious look and tone that Lizzie used with her but her face certainly didn't portray her true emotions. "It's fine, I'm just waking you up because we landed."

"Oh," Lizzie scratches her eyebrows as she looks around the plane to see everyone was starting to get up to exit. The green-eyed woman immediately unbuckles herself and gets up to pull her carry-on that was tucked at the storage above their heads. Alycia follows suit and since she only had her purse as a carry-on she immediately walks towards the exit, not once glancing at her former best friend.

Lizzie sighs while trying to gather all of her items as fast as she could, and as she exits the plane she feels a pat on the back of her shoulder, "don't worry she'll come around," Sebastian says. There was no doubt in Lizzie's mind that he knew just how strained her relationship with the brunette was.

"I don't think she will," Lizzie sighs and she scratches her eyebrows before speaking again. "I said things I didn't mean about her behind her back, things that were hurtful and she heard it all."

"I know," of course, Sebastian knew, he's one of Alycia's close friends and if the brunette didn't tell him, Lizzie was sure that Scarlett would have. They've been the iconic trio since Alycia joined the MCU. "Don't worry, she'll realize that those words had no meaning behind them. She just needs time Liz, and as much as I want to tell you to speak to her and fix this, I think you should follow her lead and talk to her once she starts letting you back in."

Lizzie groans as they start walking towards their friends and colleagues, "I haven't had a proper conversation with her since I got engaged, Sebastian. I don't think I can wait any longer."

Sebastian only gives his friend a sympathetic smile as their conversation comes to an end once they neared their group of friends and co-workers.

They all collectively head towards the baggage carousel to pick up their luggage. Sebastian tagged along with Alycia as they walk to the exit while Mackie choose to walk beside Lizzie. Their close circle of friends knew how the two weren't on good terms and to them, it felt like watching their parents go through a divorce right in front of their eyes, in other words, watching Civil War.

A familiar squeal snaps Lizzie's eyes to Alycia who was a few steps in front of her, she looks past the brunette to see the cause of the excited squeal. Scarlett was outside of their shuttle bus waiting for them. She watches as Alycia jogs to Scarlett and Lizzie envies the blonde when Alycia hugs her tightly.

The team boarded the shuttle and soon after, they were being driven into the city to their hotel. Lizzie chews on her bottom lip when she hears the laughter and quiet chatter of Scarlett and Alycia, she groans internally while scolding herself for being an idiot. The blonde has been asking herself one question on repeat lately, how can I let go of something, someone, so great? Till now she still has no concise answer to this question, almost like this happened because she wasn't thinking at all. And she concludes that maybe that is the exact reason, she wasn't thinking. She was being dumb and selfish and everything she thought she felt she was fixing she didn't, she felt she didn't try hard enough.
