Inside of a secret facility, Maria Hill brought along Sam, Steve and Natasha as a doctor ran towards them.
"GSW. She's lost at least a pint." Maria informs.
"Yeah, thankfully (Y/N) stopped it before she could lose any more." Sam says as the doctor nods.
"Let me take her."
"She'll want to see him first." Hill says as she proceeds to take the trio to a room where they were shocked to see Nick Fury, alive.
"About damn time." He says as Steve and Natasha look at him in disbelief. "Lacerated spinal column, cracked sternum, shattered collarbone, perforated liver, one hell of a headache." He says as the doctor looks at him.
"Don't forget your collapsed lung." He gets informed as he nods.
"Oh, let's not forget that. Otherwise, I'm good." Fury states as Natasha looks at him up and down.
"They cut you open, your heart stopped." She says as he nods.
"Tetrodotoxin B. Slows the pulse to one beat a minute. Banner developed it for stress. Didn't work so great for him, but we found a use for it. Also (Y/N) taught me a neat trick, came in handy." He says but before he could continue Steve intercepts.
"Why all the secrecy? Why not just tell us?" He says as Fury looks over at him.
"I did tell you." He says but Steve doesn't understand.
"(Y/N)." Natasha confirms as Steve now gets it, everything starting to make a little more sense.
"Why him? I thought you didn't trust random people." Steve says but Fury dismisses it.
"Every attempt at the director's life had to look successful, but... I too am interested in why you told him of all people." Maria says as they all look at Fury.
"I have my reasons." Fury says, looking over the three.
"That won't cut it." Steve says as Fury sighs.
"Look, (Y/N) isn't just a man of honour. He is something else..." He says as Steve nods.
"I may not trust a lot of people, but he is a man that didn't just see the horrors of the world, he saw every fear a human could have, and he fought most of his life so that no one else has to see them. He just might be the reason we all could live with way less problems today." He says as they looked at him confused.
An old picture appeared on the screen, it showed what seemed to be you in old fashioned clothes with your sword at your side, looking over your shoulder at the camera. What was weird though is that, even though the picture was in black and white, your sword was black.
"There's a lot you don't know about him, some things even took me a while to understand, but... He's constantly fighting, and I don't know if he will ever rest properly." Fury sighs as he looks up at them again.
"It's not a matter of who I like more. He understands, Captain, you would've told someone out of guilt, Romanoff, you'd have told (Y/N) because I know you can't lie to him. He's the one I knew telling would be a fullproof plan." Fury says as Steve glanced at Natasha who only looked down at the ground.
"There, you like the answer? I know we've made mistakes along the way, but I hope we can put this behind us. Speaking of which..." He starts, looking over the two.
"Where is he?"

In the building where you were brought in before, in an underground floor, you were in a room, laying on your back on some sort of bed/table, which was put up so you wouldn't be laying horizontally, but diagonally. You were strapped in it securely with multiple machines around you.
