'I almost never lacked strength.
To fight.
To protect myself.
To live.
Ever since I was reborn, up until now, I never lacked the strength if I put my mind to it.
I was always enough.
Yet, the same question always came to my mind because of that.'
As (Y/N) was observing Ultron's smirking face, his grip on his sword tightened slightly.
'I always tried using this strength to protect someone else, if I am safe then I can make someone else safe, right?
Not all the time, I should've known that.
They all died because I didn't have the strength, maybe even the mentality to save them. I tried. I did. I tried so hard. Yet...'
His eyes opened wide, his pupils shrinking as he breathed out, his breath being seen, though not only because of the altitude.
'I swore to never let it happen again. I would gladly trade my life for that.
At least that's what I think. What I want to believe.
But will my body listen to me when that time comes? When I am sure I am going to die by doing something, would I be able to do it?
.
..
...
..
.I don't know.'
The grip on his sword was so tight that now, even without his breathing, his veins were bulging like never before.
'Shit... Not this again... Fuck... Not this horrible, empty feeling again.
I don't want to go back to that... I already let it happen twice...
I can't... Please...'
His eyes, which showed a state of turmoil, closed... Before opening again, showing no emotion as he grabbed his sword with both of his hands.
'I see it clearly. What I need to do.
I'll end his scheme right here, right now.
Too many have endangered the lives of innocents and those close to me, too many have I met that do that.
I will probably meet more, but that's fine.
As long as I have my sword, everything is fine.
Now...'
CRACK
The floor cracked underneath his foot as he disappeared.
.
.
Ultron was smiling comfortably as he was watching the avengers fight his- No, him.
It was amusing. Seeing them resist and struggle.
'It's futile.' he thought to himself as he was prepared to attack his intended target, Vision.
BEEP
Suddenly though, a warning flashed on his display.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Multitudes of warnings flashed, informing him about the incoming danger.
"What is-" he wanted to say, but stopped himself when his scanners stopped detecting one of the Avengers.
