Going back to when (Y/N) and Ultron had just begun their battle, the Avengers continued to protect the drill.

"Up above!" Tony said as Steve threw his shield, hitting a robot who came through a hole in the roof of the church.

Hulk roared, tearing robots left and right as they kept throwing themselves at him, only to be crushed.

"Where are they even coming from at this point? There's no end to them!" Clint said as he was running out of arrows, stabbing a robot with one.

"First make sure you stay alive," Natasha said, electrocuting a robot, "then wonder about those things."

"Focus on keeping them off the core! Thor, the south wall is down, give them a good shock." Steve said, punching a robot away.

Thor, without responding, landed at the giant hole which used to be a wall, conjuring up a large amount of lightning.

"Raagh!" With a yell, he released the power and it decimated everything it came across.

"They're starting to be few and far between, don't let up! One mistake can cost us everything we worked for so far!" Steve ordered, everyone understood his words.

Pietro was starting to huff a little, but he didn't mind, and just as he started to run again, he saw something.

In the distance, he could not only just see it, but feel it.

There were explosions, buildings were collapsing and two silhouettes were dashing everywhere.

"Huh... Here I thought the fire and water were weird." He said to himself, continuing to run.

Soon, the lack of robots began to be apparent, as well as the lack of a certain swordsman.

"Anybody got eyes on (Y/N)?" Steve asked, but before he got a reply, behind a few buildings they saw a tornado form and disappear.

"He's took the initiative to fight the big bad himself." Tony commented.

"Hell, even I wanted a crack at the guy." Clint added, hitting a robot with his bow.

"It's not a competition boys, you won't get brownie points for it." Nat said which made Clint and Tony roll their eyes.

Steve took a look around, there were a few robots still incoming, but for now, they've managed to hold out.

"Alright, everyone focus. Until we've completely secured this area or until (Y/N) informs us of a change, we can't leave."

And with that, they returned to defending the drill, though this time there were far less robots to fight.

It's not to say there weren't a lot of them, it's just that it wasn't a complete circus like before.

"I want to feel, you know... Good about what I'm doing. We're fighting a robot army you know? But that-" Clint said and pointed in a direction, another explosion resounded right where he pointed.

"It's kinda killing the mood."

As if to agree with him, Tony says, "I haven't seen the kid go crazy like that before, might need to stop calling him kid after this."

"Don't worry, I'm sure he's got it under control." Steve says.

"A true warrior." Thor adds, and a loud boom followed as if to add to his words.

Natasha didn't say anything, only looked out at where she thought he was.

She noticed him before he disappeared, he looked... Distraught.
