In a room, Uiharu stared at the screen, focusing on the latest developments. "Alex Evolt after being revived by the love of Misaka," she read aloud, before the screen displayed a love square involving Touma, Kuroko, and Alex, all with arrows pointing toward Misaka, with Touma's arrow being crossed out.
"What's with the arrows?" Uiharu questioned, her brow furrowing in confusion.
"Possible love interests," Saten explained, waving a small flag that read "Team Alex x Misaka." "The guy with the spiky black hair is out for something, leaving Misaka open to Kuroko and Alex."
The sound of someone hitting something echoed through the room.
"Kuroko, what are you doing?" Uiharu asked, turning her head to see Kuroko hitting a can.
"Trying to forget about what happened last episode," Kuroko replied, her expression stoic.
"Okay," Uiharu responded, though she still seemed puzzled.
"So anyway, actually nothing really happened," Saten said as the scene shifted to Alistair and Magnus discussing vampires and the Pandora Box.
"Uh, I remember something. The Graviton attacks are still happening," Uiharu said, the screen showing the attacks before changing to the man Alex helped.
"Oi! Who decided to start the recap without us?" Alex yelled, entering the scene with a slight frown.
"Yeah, anyway, you can't start the episode before me. I'm the protagonist," Touma asserted, crossing his arms defiantly.
"No, I am! This is a Railgun episode. Butt out, supporting guest star wannabe, because I'm the star here," Misaka interjected with a firm tone.
"But today's episode might have me in it," Touma argued, trying to stand his ground.
"Guys, I think we know by the title that every episode has Railgun and Index protagonists as side protagonists," Alex said, trying to mediate the argument.
"What does that make us?" Saten and the rest asked in unison.
"Supporting cast," Alex replied simply.
"Then who's the protagonist?" Uiharu asked, tilting her head in curiosity.
"The Kamen Rider," Alex declared. There was a murmur of agreement from the group, while Touma sighed in resignation.
"How egotistical can you get?" Touma muttered, shaking his head.
"Not enough. Start the episode," Alex said, a confident grin spreading across his face.
Harumi looked up to see Alex working with the model in the lab, adjusting it
"Hey Harumi, can I ask you something?" Alex inquired, catching Haumi's attention.
"Sure, we've completed the work ahead of time, so I don't see why not," Harumi replied emotionlessly. Alex sensed something was wrong.
"You never let me talk during work hours unless needed. What's going on? You've been staring at me all day," Alex said, raising an eyebrow.
Harumi looked at him, displaying more emotion than Alex had ever seen in her. She appeared perplexed about what she was going to say before shaking her head.
"Alex, tell me, if you could help someone, someone who's been in pain for a long time, would you do it?" Harumi asked, turning towards Alex.
Alex raised his brow, his curiosity shifting to a somber expression. The instant Harumi finished her sentence, she saw what she needed to see.
