⁵Delayed Departure

You looked in the mirror

(Its okay if you picture y/n differently, im just showing the fit they have)

It was a simple shirt and shorts, but the vest he gave you had an embroidered flower and vines

'It's actually pretty cute'

Jumping a little you hear knocking
"Y/N you ready?"

You open the door to see Technoblade, he looks at you and smiles

"You like it?"
You just nod and play around with the sleeves

Techno chuckled softly and started walking downstairs, you follow behind and almost start to tear up as you walk

'It's been so long since I got new clothes, the last time someone gave me something new was when mothe-'

You bump into Techno, as you try and atleast get a mangled peep out of your mouth before he puts his hand over it

"Don't speak"
He just whispered

You both stay still and and hear a fist slamming, you jump a little as Techno slowly walks with you back

Trying to get sense of the situation you overhear a little bit of the conversation from the ground floor

"I KNOW HE'S HERE LADY SPIT IT OUT"

If you could sigh you would,
'Who did this idiot kill and piss off?'

You both enter the room, Techno sets you on the bed, looking out the window he started mumbling something under his breath

He just sighed and started packing up his gear, throwing a bag beside you

"Carry that, we'll exit through this window and rooftop jump until we get to the center of the town, after that we'll get down and run for the woods"

You nod and start wearing the bag he gave you, you look out the window and see multiple knights

While looking at the minuscule army Techno opened the window and stepped onto the rooftop

"C'mon kid"
He said extending a hand towards you

You hesitate

'But what if we get caught, prison will be worse than what uncle put me through, what if-'

Techno sighed and reached for your hand and pulled you a bit towards him

"we're not going to be caught, and plus, your situation here won't be any better if you choose to not run away"

You look at him, and stare at his eyes through the skull mask

'he has red eyes'

You took a step toward the window, Techno grins and pulls you up

As you step onto the roof you hear a shout from below

"THEY'RE UP THERE!"

"GET THEM"

You look at men pointing their bows in your direction, the very moment some of the men let loose their arrows the world seemed to move in slow motion

You and Techno started running, and a strong emotion started dancing in your chest

'Thats strange'

Your heart beats could be heard despite the sound of arrows cutting through the air and landing on shabby rooftops

'Im not scared'

The swift movement of the sword blocked the arrows from harming us both, Techno smiled as he skilfully shielded us with only a blade

'Rather im quite'

You take the lead as Techno defended from the back, noticing some men were behind us on the roofs as well

'Excited'

You finally say to yourself as you land on the roof while Technoblade fought off the attackers

'im going to like this'
