¹⁴New Faces

Winds whistle as it runs through the sky, the sounds of men clamoring and footsteps of wood in the distance distract him from the view of a setting sun

And finally the sound of plates and cups being laid down on his table made him look away

"Day dreaming Toms?"

"It's not even day Will"

"I-"
The man in a coat let out a sigh and reached out his hand to mess up the other male's hair

"Ae- hey! Will!"
The taller laughed and sat down and gave the child his plate

"Besides that Tommy, we'll be traveling all night tonight so be sure to not waste too much energy, we still have to shop for a few ingredients"

The child grumbled as he looked down at his plate of soup and bread

"Tommy, are you even listening"

"I am! I amm listening Wilbur"

Wilbur looked at Tommy

"..."

"Okay maybe I wasn't listening"
"But I'm so sick of soup and bread! I want meat willlll, I want steaakkkk"

"You can have all the steak you want when we get to Phils house, until then we have to eat cheap so we can afford horses to ride home"

Tommy just complained again and poked at his bread

"Eat. It."

"Ughhhh"
Tommy picked up the bread and ate

"Good"
"Now back to what I was sayi~-__"

Tommy completely blocked out what Wilbur was saying and chewed his bread while looking off to the distance, he started at the street bored out of his mind

And as blanked out he noticed something

Something pink?

And had a pig skull

On a sheet of paper saying wanted,

And the paper being carried around by a sky knight

"Shit-"

"Whu- Tommy what?"
Wilbur looked to what the boy was staring at

"Oh shit"

They both gulped down their food and left the tavern, quickly slipping on a cloak they both hide their faces

"Guess we'll have to skip on those ingredients Will"

"Definitely"

They walked to the nearest stable, passing by 3 wanted posters

One pink, one brown, one blond

As they purchased two horses, they heard heavy footsteps and chainmail clanking behind them, Tommy quickly got on one horse and as the stableboy got out Wilbur's the heavy footsteps stopped

"Hey you!"

Wilbur looked at Tommy who was hiding his face, holding the reins of the horse ready to run

"Ey! Turn around for a second will ya!"

Wilbur slowly did as the knight said, his right hand slowly moving to the horse, his left hand slowly moving to a back pocket

"Remove your hood! We're searching for that murderer and his brothers, have to make sure you're not one of em"
The knight said motioning to three wanted poster signs

"Of course sir, of course, I'll remove my hood right away"
Wilbur stepped a bit closer to the horse and used his right hand to slowly remove his hood

"Wait a minute..."

"YOU'RE THE-"
A GUNSHOT suddenly interrupted the knight as Wilbur jumped onto the horse

"AREGH GET BACK HERE"
The knight yelled as he stole a horse from the stableboy and ran after them

"YOU SHOULD BE THANKFUL I DIDN'T SHOOT YOUR HEAD OFF"
Wilbur shouted as he positioned himself on the back of the horse to face the knight

Two guns now in his hands

Wilbur shot at a rope causing a stack of boxes to fall onto the knight

"EAT SHIT AND DIE"
Tommy laughed as he steered the horse into the forest

The knight shouted curses as he threw a box off of him, while Tommy and Wilbur just laughed as they rode to the next village
