Jisung closed the book with a huge smile played on his lips. He put the pen to where it was and the door opened.

He turned around, and his chest thumped when seeing his boyfriend with paper bags in his hand.

"You've gone for too long!" the younger faked a cry as he took one of the bags from him. Minho just ruffled his head and went downstairs to take the plates. When he returned Jisung had already taken out the cheesecakes he bought, the coffees and the small presents.

He laughed, "You're that impatient?"

"I already missed you." he waddled to the brunette and hugged him, planting his face on the jacket.

"Sorry baby, I walked."

"Mhm."

Minho put down the plates with Jisung still hugging him. He saw the book and right after preparing the food he asked, "Have you read it till the end?"

"I have. You're whipped."

"Is that my fault?"

"No, you should actually." the boy let him go and his mouth watered at the cheesecake. "Can we eat now?"

"Let me set up the laptop first." he took off the jacket and they brought the plates and drinks to the small coffee table. They sat on the carpeted floor instead on the one seater couch.

"Don't you want to read that first?"

Minho looked at him, confused.

The boy lightly pouted and gave him the book. "You said this is going to be our book."

"You wrote something?"

Jisung nodded with a smile, showing off his cheeks. After turning off the lights and get comfortable, Minho opened the book while Jisung started to eat the cheesecake.

"Oh, Sungie, by the way there's a present for you."

"For what, actually?"

Minho just sent him a giddy smile and he puffed his cheeks with air. When Minho started reading, he took out the small brown box in the bag and shook it lightly. It was rather heavy. Carefully, he took it out and gasped.

It was a snow globe. What made him surprised more was there's a small cartoon quokka and a white bunny in winter clothes. The bunny was holding a snowball while the quokka was creating a snowman. He let out an unbelievable breath when noticing their initials on the house.

There was a small switch underneath it. Jisung flicked it open and the house light up in mixed colors of blue, red, green and yellow. The initials became clearer and a soft piano music was heard.

Shaking it lightly, the fake snow slowly floated around and some of them fell on the animals and on the roof. It coated the brown material in white.

He was truly amazed. Did Minho order this as custom? Of course he did. Who else had the same initials as them with the same quokka and bunny? And the fact that there were two of them,

Minho really showed his effort.

Jisung couldn't take his eyes off from the snow globe. The soft music filled the room, only adding the emotional feelings in him, and Minho.

Without him realising, Minho silently cried while reading the message he wrote. He only noticed it when he turned to the brunette.

"Min..."

"This is too sweet," Minho chuckled while wiping off the tears. "Thank you Sungie."

The younger pouted as he kept the snow globe back in the box, afraid if he breaks it. "Thank you too, hyungie." he leaned in and planted a chaste kiss on his lips. "I love you."

The brunette smiled before drapping a blanket on them, starting the movie. He rested his head on Jisung's shoulder and snuggled closer. "I love you too." he whispered.

Both of them are contently happy. They are like the puzzle piece that completed each other. Minho had never feel this serene for a long time. The day when Jisung came into his life, something inside him was slowly changing and he could see it after a few weeks.

He couldn't ask more other than the younger's existence.

If he could, he want to keep this forever, same goes to the other.

Having Jisung was also a blessing for him.

♡background story♡

i'm seriously going to miss this story. if you don't know it yet, i always write stories based on my own experience. my other story "the three words" was the first book that i wrote where i express my feelings throughout the whole story.

"monthly boyfriend" is the second book where i did the same.

this is inspired from my own life. one day i was really stressed out with my studies and i uploaded a private story saying:

"I need a one month boyfriend to entertain me when I'm bored, sad and mad until this semester ends. When the new semester starts I'll find another one. help me find some."

yes, the exact one like jisung said in this story AHAHAH that's how i came up with this story.

and about what minho had gone through, i've experienced it too but it's nothing serious, really. i've never thought of doing what he attempted and as some of you might know, i'm a straight girl so there's nothing much.

just, a little, bit.

you could say that half of what minho had gone through + half of jisung's were what i experienced irl.

if you ask me to choose between "cat boy" and "monthly boyfriend", i'd choose this one. at first cat boy was my favourite among all but as i wrote this more i realised i grew attached to this one because it tells a little bit of my life.
