NARRATOR POV.: It's 2032, and nobody managed to beat Sky Brown and her Bronzie medal in skateboarding in 2020, which she scored as 13 years and 11 days old girl, making her the youngest ever olimpian. But contestants need to fear again, as another little girl is trying her luck to do it. And no ordinary girl, but Gianna Hamilton, daughter of 9 Time Formula 1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton and 7 Times Motocross World Champion, Angelina Walker-Hamilton. The pressure is high, but Gia knows her strengths and she's hungry to win. Even though she's only 12 years and 345 days old at the moment. Eyes on the price, as many would say... And she has that Fighter mentality deep in her blood, so she's not gonna give up so easily...
-I'm next. Wish me luck...- she said with nervous smile, as she looked at her parents and siblings.
-You don't need luck Princess. You'll do amazing even without it!- Lewis assured his daughter, kneeling in front of her and holding her to him.
-You think?- Lewis looked into eyes, which were almost like a mirror with his own, with a smile.
-We don't think, Gigi. We know it!
-Nick is right. You're gonna do amazing!- Angelina approved her son's words, leaning down and kissing her "big girl's" head.
-I love you...
-We love you too Gia. To the moon and back!- after that, Gianna got a strong hugs from everyone, and went into the opened space on the arena, with her helmet on, and skateboard in hand. It was customised, purple and turquoise one, with flames and her initials. Board was also customised, black and purple, with turquoise and gold accents, with her father's "Still I rise" quote under her feet and pink tiger on the back, her mother's symbol. She was her parents's daughter after all...
-Go Gigi! You're gonna kill it! Deep breath and vroom!- was heard, as her family supported her. And she did just that, took a deep breath and then skated down the ramp for the first time.
-I'm worried..
-Don't be. She's gonna do amazing!- Lewis assured his wife, as he pulled her closer to himself by her waist and kissed her temple shortly.
-I think she needs to set the bar high enough for the first time, and then try to improve it- Nicholas said confidently, his eyes not leaving his sister. Hamiltons could be there whole family, because Lewis retired from the sport 4 years earlier and became one of the bosses of Mercedes along with Toto, and Nicholas didn't have any race that particular weekend. This young man is following his father's footsteps, and is currently racing in one of the highest ranks in karting, being promoted to F4 next year, at the age of 14. Angelina on another hand, left the sport after her 7th championship, to take care of her kids. At that time Lorraine was 3, Gianna 6 and Nicholas almost 8 years old. That was quite a challenge, but they managed....
All four of them was following Gia closely, very nervousness. She worked very hard to be where she is, and it would be a disaster if something happened. And it did, as skateboard turned a little too much, and Gianna slid down the ramp on her knees, as the crowd yelled in frustration.
-What's the score?!
-47.689- Lewis read out loud, focusing on the board.
-Still too low...- they all whined.
-Give me a minute!- Nicholas told his parents, and then all the cameras showed him, as he sneaked into the arena, to his sister.
-Gigi..
-I messed up! And the score is too low..- she ranted as she saw him, and hugged him tightly.
-Shhh! Everything will be fine! You just need to calm down and stop overthinking! Everything will be just right, I know it! Calm down Gia..!- Nick assured her, and rubbed her back gently.
-You think?
-Yeah. Just calm down and have fun! The score is important, that's a yes, but what else dad and mum always tell us?
-Never give up...?!
-That too. But what else?
-If you're not having fun, leave it. Do what makes you happy...
-Exactly! Think about it, as a play, like we do in skate park!
-Thank you Nikki...
-You're welcome. And now, go and crash them all!- he said, and then came back to their parents, who were watching them closely.
-She's just overthinking. This time would be better- he smiled at them, and returned the hug Lorraine gave him.
-You're the best brother for both of them, you know it right?- Lewis told him with pride.
-I try my best- Nick smiled sheepishly, showing "the genes" he got from his mother.
-My boy..- Lewis said and rufled his hair playfully.
-Dad, don't!- Nicholas whined, which made his parents laugh. But soon after that they abruptly calmed down, as it was time for Gia's second turn at the Olimpics. She had only two more chances to show what she can do, and prove to all the world that she's someone more than her parents daughter. And it meant to her a lot...
-Next up, Gianna Hamilton with her second run of the day! Let's see what this little girl can do...- one of the speakers said and all cameras and eyes were on her. And Gia did just like her father said, took two deep breaths, and skated away, onto the ramp. She did couple of 360* and board grabs, and that elevated her score, but only onto 2nd place, remaining 49.023.
-Yes, Gigi! Yes! Good job! Head high baby girl!- all the Hamiltons shouted with pride on their faces. And Gia gave them smile in return, as her coach was talking to her.
-To top the battle, she needs something extra...- Angelina mumbled, as she focused on the score board.
-That can be arranged...- Nick smiled mischievously.
-What do you mean Nikki?- Lewis asked him.
-You'll see- he replied bluntly and again, sneaked his way to his sister. Surprisingly, nobody stopped him, and all the world could see Hamilton siblings talking fiercely about something, as Lorraine hugged Gianna tightly.
-We have amazing kids...
-Yes Love, we do..- Lewis agreed with his wife, as he held her even closer by her waist. The conversation lasted around 5 minutes and then they hitted their secret hand shake for luck. After that, it was Gianna's last turn, and Nick took Lory with him back to their parents.
-What did you told her?
-You'll see. But I think that it'll guarantee her a gold, only if she'll hit it right...
-Let's see it then- Angelina agreed, as they saw Gia skating to the ramp.
-Just hit it right...- Lewis mumbled, his gaze fixated on his little girl. All the family knew that if she looses, being so close to the best win, she'll be devastated...
Her last run was clean as Cristal, everything being on point, executed just right. And with every next combination, her tricks were more dangerous and quick. Everyone watching was very amazed by that.
-Come on Gigi! You can do it! Push! Eyes on the end of the board!- those, and many other things were shouted from the grandstands, motivating Gianna to actually risk it all. Third try meant one thing, winning or loosing, nothing in between...
All her tricks were amazing, but she needed one at the end, to actually wow people and win. And Nick knew perfectly well what she's going to do... One last cerb, straight to the wall, and... She did it! First woman to do full 720* turn, upside down, with her board still on her feet! And she sticked the landing too!
Audience bursted in celebration amazed by skill set that little girl brought to the Olimpics with her. And her family was ecstatic to see it fully. After Gia climbed the ramp, she skated to her family, waiting for the results. There was only one contestant after her, so pressure was high. Did she managed to set the bar high enough to win that gold?
-My princess!- Angie was first to hug her tightly, with huge smile on her face -I'm very proud of you! You did amazing!
-Thanks mum- Gigi said in elation, and then gave hugs to Lory and Nick.
-Told you everything will be fine!- Nikki chuckled and kissed his sister's head. Most of boys his age are more distant from their families, saying that it's "disgusting" to show that much affection. But Nick is for sure different. He never hid the love and affection he has for his family, especially his younger sisters.
-Come here princess- Lewis was last to hug his daughter, and lift her off the ground -Winning today or not, you're my champion already, you know that right?
-Yeah dad, I know- she replied, holding his neck tightly -Thanks dad..
-You're welcome darling- Lewis gave her last kiss on the cheek and let her back on the ground, on top of her skateboard.
-We have the scores...
-This is it...!
-The win was tight fight, as it's sepereted by only half of the point.. So... In 3rd place, Jacqueline Chalamet from France, with 49,067 points!
-You did it Gigi! Silver or gold!- Lorraine squealed and hugged her stunned sister tightly.
-And in second place... Winning the silver medal of 2032 Olimpics is.... Marissa Carter from Canada with 50.268 points! And that means, that winning gold goes to Gianna Hamilton from Great Britain!- speaker said, and crowd went crazy.
-Gia..! / Gigi..! You heard that?! You won!- they all yelled happily, as Lewis effortlessly lifted her off the ground and threw her couple of times in the air, laughing with the rest of the family. And their celebrations were shown to whole world by the cameras. But none of them minded at that moment...
-You're the youngest ever Olimpic gold medalist, do you believe that!? I'm SO happy and proud of you Gia!- Angelina said with huge smile, as she hugged her daughter.
-Gigi, Gigi Gigi!- Nikki and Lorraine started to shout, and the crowd picked it up, shouting as well.
-I can't believe it!- Gianna said through the tears, and she skated to the podium ceremony with tears streaming down her cheeks. The anthems were played, speaker had his moment of speach, and then the medals were handled over to their respective winners. After that was a group foto, with Gianna smiling proudly through the tears, holding gold medal in her shaking hand in the middle of it. That was the moment when it hitted her finally... She made a history on her own... The youngest ever, Olimpic gold medalist... Her, Gianna Angela Everleigh Hamilton, nobody else...
....
After whole ceremony, and interviews, Gianna could finally get back to her family, with her gold around the neck.
-My winner!- Lewis was first to hug her, and twirl her around couple of times, hearing his little girl giggle.
-Let me go daddy!- she squelied, looking at him with her shininy eyes.
-As you wish, Princess- Lewis agreed, after he kissed her cheek for the final time.
-I told you, you'll get it!- Nikki was next to hug his sister, with broad smile.
-You're right. Thanks Nikki...
Then, Angelina hugged her tightly, crying.
-Don't cry mum...!
-It's because how much proud of you I'm right now! You fought for your dream, and made it happen! My little olimpian!
After that, they grabbed her stuff and actually left the arena, to get back to the hotel. This time Olimpics were in Melbourne, so they needed a hotel. But the journey was hella worth it... Even with all the highs and lows...
....
Long weeks after the Olimpics ended, they still were on the tongues of everybody. It seemed like whole Internet focused on one small but mighty little girl, winning a gold medal! Photos of Gia alone, and with her family were the most reposted ones on all variations of social media, people never getting tired of them.
And it was understandable, as that year, 2032, marked another Guinness's record. Especially being unique, that 12 years old girl managed to do it... That day was very special, and everybody knows it...
THE END
Being a champion must flow in their blood...
Lewis being 9 time champion, Angelina with her 7 titles, and now Gia is gold medalist and olimpian, being only 12...
Have a nice day! / Goodnight!
