A week of preparation quickly passed.

With the help of the talented Kijins, the development of Tempest accelerated once more. Kurobee and Kaijin collaborated to produce an impressive array of Special-Grade weapons for our 100-strong army.

Equipped with these new weapons, our D-Class guards suddenly advanced to C-Rank soldiers. But that wasn't all—thanks to Hakurou's relentless day-and-night training, our mediocre soldiers leveled up to B-Rank.

As for Shuna, she was busy preaching about something I couldn't quite grasp. In the embroidery section, I knew I wouldn't stand a chance against her expertise. My knowledge of making clothes was limited to finding impressive synthetic fibers and piecing them together. While I understood that protection magic could enhance them, I had no idea how complicated it could be to achieve a truly powerful defense.

To sum it up: with Hakurou's grueling daily sessions with the Goblins, the new equipment, Benimaru's training, and Shuna's expertly woven synthetic clothing, our average soldiers were now approximately B-Rank in strength. This timeline was certainly improving, but we still had a long way to go.

I wasn't complaining, though. With the looming interference of Demon Lord Luminous Valentine and an unusual series of events unfolding, we might soon find ourselves fighting the same enemies on an entirely different battlefield.

However, another problem was brewing: Shion and Shuna were at it again.

My slime body was remarkably comfortable, but I felt like a toy caught between them.

"Come on now, Shion! Safely hand Great Rimuru over to me already!" Shuna demanded, tugging me toward her.

Shion, however, absolutely refused. "No, Princess! I am personally in charge of him as his secretary," she insisted, pulling me back to her.

Thankfully, I wasn't ripped apart—yet. Still, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being tossed around like a plaything.

Then Shuna dropped a bombshell on me. "Great Rimuru— you prefer me over Shion, right?"

"Well, you have work to do, right? I'll ask you once you're free," I replied hastily, feeling the strain as they tugged on my body—my form wasn't synthetic, after all.

Shuna smiled brightly and answered, "Yes! Leave it to me, Great Rimuru!"

Pouting in the corner, Shion managed to completely wrest me from Shuna's grasp.

"Now then, I think it's time for us to take our leave."

Carried by Shion, we exited the Development sector building, where Shuna, the Garm brothers, and some dedicated Goblinas were hard at work. We couldn't disturb them— their tasks required exceptional focus, and my presence would only hinder their productivity. So, I decided it was best to let Shuna and the other Goblinas crochet our clothes in peace.

As Shion carried me toward the training grounds, we passed by Shizu-san. "Good morning, Shizu-san!"

"Good morning, Rimuru-san!" she replied.

We usually exchanged a few pleasantries before I was pulled away by Shion, while Shizu-san got swept up by Shuna. It seemed Shizu-san was taking my place as a dress-up doll.

<<Lady Shizu, this will suit you best!>>

This was my Multi-Dimensional Perception at work. With Shion escorting me, we were far enough away that normal perception wouldn't catch what was happening, but my heightened senses picked up the conversation.

<<Isn't this clothing a little revealing?...>>

Guh... let me see!

<<My, my, Lady Shizu is too innocent; it's cute.>>
