He sat in his living room with Fox, General, and Amigo.
They had returned to the house for a short spell to discuss matters. At first, it had been business. How many warriors would go, how many would stay to protect the territory. But then, it grew silent between the four of them.
"Are you sure?" Fox asked, hands clasped in front of him as he leaned on his elbows, searching for an earnest answer. They all knew what this meant. "This is a big decision, and I need to know you are one-hundred percent sure."
'Yeah, you sure she isn't just hotheaded?' Amigo asked. General snorted.
He remembered what had crossed his mind just the day before. "Yes, I am sure. She has great potential," He looked at Amigo, "And she is not hotheaded, she has a strong will."
'That could be an issue,' General muttered.
"Is that what made you accept an alliance, too?" Fox questioned.
"I only saw one sign from the Alpha, but the others... they are just like us," He mused out loud, "They are trying to survive in a cruel world, and it is my pleasure to deliver justice."
Fox leaned back against the couch, "I have to admit, I've never seen you so sure of anything."
"I have never felt this sure," He admitted.
'As sure as to when she called you a coward?' General teased. Amigo chuckled.
"She did take all of us by surprise right then," Fox chuckled a little, "I've never seen a female do something like that, let alone in front of an entire pack."
'It was a little disrespectful,' General muttered.
'But brave,' Amigo added.
He nodded. Reeve was an Alpha without a pack, and he was pleased to let her take over his. He didn't even have any worries about it. She was a natural, it seemed. But, he didn't miss the scars on her skin. He had easily connected the dots that life hadn't been nice to her, which only meant she knew what it was to suffer, too.
It all seemed too perfect.
They all sat in silence for a few more moments. There were no disagreements, as they had all agreed, but it seemed so surreal. He had been searching for two years, where had she been? If he was to say, it may have been a mix of destiny that intertwined their paths.
"Alright then," Fox stood up, breaking the silence as he patted his jeans, "Let's go meet our new alliance pack. Aloysius, you said?"
He nodded, "Yes, Alpha Leroy wishes for us to ride them," He glanced at his Betas, "Do you two mind running with the warriors?"
