"Xiao!" A deafening voice could be heard from the phone speaker making xiao frown.

"What?" He said annoyed and gaze outside the window.

"Just because your job is done that doesn't mean we don't need you here!" Xaio rolled his eyes and was about to hang up the phone when aether took it from him.

"Hello? I am sorry but I cannot let xiao go to work until his fever subdue." Aether said softly before hanging up.

He stared at aether intently and took his phone from the blonde's hands.

"Sorry, I just had to do it." Aether said apologetically while fidgeting with his hair. Xiao raised a brow and shook his head. He laid down on the couch and tried to find a decent position for him to sleep.

Aether sat down on the edge of the couch while xiao's foot was on his thighs. He took the remote control from the table and on the television.

Xiao frowned and change his current position. He place his head on aether's lap and closed his eyes.

Aether's eyes widen and his heart beating madly. What was he doing?!

"Don't move." Xiao's strong voice stop his little thoughts so he stayed still as much as he can to the point that he held his breath.

"Stop that." Xiao opened his eyes and stared at aether. What's wrong with this blonde? Why is he so fidgety around him?

Aether nodded and focused his entire attention to the news.

"The sakura war is still ongoing?" One of the reporters ask as he stared at his papers. His partner nodded before answering.

"Yes indeed, The war has been going on for four years now and it showed no signs of stopping." Aether's entire beeing froze when he realized what the news was all about.

"Hmm?" Xiao stared at aether's pale complexion before deciding to listen to the news.

"I sympathize the citizens of the sakura nation. Driven out of their hometown." The first reporter said while shaking his head.

"Yes. But what can we do? The sakura nation is on the continent that is far far far away from teyvat. If we get there by jet it will take us half a year to arrive at the continent." His partner said in dismay.

Aether stayed still as he eyed the television.

"Sakura....." He whispered in despair and lowerer his head, but upon lowering them he saw xiao's cat like eyes staring at him.

"What's with sakura?" He questioned as he raised a brow. Of course he knew about the other side of teyvat, the other continent and the nation called Sakura.

"N-Nothing..." He could hear discomfort from aether's voice as the blonde refuse to make eye contact.

"Okay." Xiao simply shrug and close his eyes again.

He doesn't know when did he start warming up to this stranger, especially when they just meet a few days ago.

After a couple of minutes, xioa finally couldn't take it and opened his eyes. The blonde's down mood was affecting him so he said in a bit annoyed tone, " What is the problem?"

Aether snap out from his thoughts and stared at xiao feeling lost. His cheeks heated up when he realized his mind actually wandered.

"You can tell me what's wrong." Xiao said with a frown. He isn't usually like this, heck he would even murder that person if they ever show their sour mood.

"It's just that." Aether sighed and looked at xiao seriously. It won't hurt telling him what's wrong so why not?

"Actually xaio, Lumine and I aren't from teyvat." He started.

"We are one of the citizens of sakura nation." Xiao's eyes widen a bit when he heard what aether said.

"Lumine and I Came here a month ago, When we opened the restaurant. We were escaping the army." He added his eyes started to water.

"The reason the war started is because of the rich lands and its people." Aether could feel a knot forming on his throat.

"In the sakura nation, There are two types of people: The normal one and the seku." Xiao got up and stared at aether intently. Seku? What is that?

"The seku are special type of people. They were made to kill, and experiment. But the president keeps the seku safe in the nation." Aether lowered his head to hide the fear in his eyes.

"The safety lasted four years ago. And the reason it was stopped because of the sudden unknown army invading our territory." Aether tried so hard to not cry when he remembered the bitter memories.

"So lumine and I hid in every corner of the nation and it reach to the point that we have no more room to hide. So without a choice, lumine and I hid in teyvat." Aether said as tears tickled down to his chin.

"We should have been fine if..."

"If.." Aether's tears started accelerating as he was close to uttering the words.

"Only if I wasn't been born as a seku." The room immediately went deadly silent and the only thing that was making noises is the television.

"L-Lumine wouldn't get tangled into this mess."

Guilt creep into xiao as he stared at aether, who was trying to wipe his tears. But no matter how many times he wipe them it will only replenish with new batch of tears.

Xiao raised his hand and wipe aether's tears before he leaned closer and started planting small kisses on his face.

"It's okay, I am sorry. I shouldn't have asked about it." He said with great concern. Aether snuggle into xiao's arms and buried his face on the male's neck.

Xiao kiss his head and whispered soft words to his ears, to make the blonde feel a little better.

Aether could smell the strong scent of xiao from the male's neck. The man still have a fever so he can feel xiao's warm body.

Aether wrapped his arms around xiao's waist without him realizing.

They continued to snuggle until they fell asleep. Aether for the first time fell asleep with a light heart, and xiao with a warm feeling.

A/N: I got luck and got sara! but unfortunately lost 50/50 with Jean but I'm not too sad about it since I don't have jean (◡ ω ◡) And It's a pain farming the electro oceanid for both char. And besides I'm saving my primos for xiao (≧▽≦). I was super lucky last night, I got jean and sara in in one 10 pulls and a 5* weapon from standard banner in one pull ⊙﹏⊙ and its a bow, (amos bow) Sara is should be grateful to me <(￣︶￣)>
So I got too excited to sleep and when I look at the time it was already 5 am ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭
