The dou continued their way on aether's 'room', not making a single noice. The only thing that could be heard was the siren ringing across the room.

"They're here! Quickly–" Before it could finish it's words, lumine unhurriedly lifted her gun and shot the man straight to his forehead, ending him.

"Jun!" The man's subordinate exclaimed in shock and disbelief but as he was about to react, A dark haired man flash in his vision before his head got separated from his body, Ending another life.

Xiao directly step on the corpse as he advance. Lumine, however circled around them and quickly catch up to his brother's lover.

That was her first kill in the entire journey.

Time tick slowly as they got near in their destination. Lumine's heart speed up as the thought of seeing her brother again. A wave of comfort wash her remaining worries which made her relax a bit, but that didn't mean her guard was down.

The dou stop as they stared at the metallic door. Thick iron wall stood in front of xiao which made him restless. He want nothing but to tear this door and walls apart.

"It's here." Lumine sharply inhale as she stared at the proud door. Only a few meters and she will finally reunite with her brother. Xiao glared at the door before pushing it open.

At that moment it felt like he had found a water source in the middle of the desert. There he saw the man he yearned for all those days. The fatigue and anxiety he was holding back, gush up like a tsunami almost making him stumble.

The blond was laying down in a small bed while wearing a lab coat. His smooth and silky hair was scattered in the white pillow. His original wheat-colored skin was now deathly pale, like he was about to be taken away by the god of death. But the most important thing that xiao noticed in his lover's body, was the bandages gripping around him. Some were tainted red and some looks like it was recently change.

His breathing hitch as he stared at the unconscious aether. There wasn't a slight bit of emotions from the blond's face.

Lumine went limp and sat on the floor. Her eyes staring straight at her brother. Pain and helplessness hammered in her heart making his scalp go numb.

"Archons....What did they do to you?" She weakly muttered as she felt her eyes forming small tear drops.

Xiao on the other hand, was completely blank. His heavy emotions earlier disappear, like it was never there. But after the faint blankness, anger overtook him.

His eyes widen dangerously as he felt his iris slitting. All he could see was red and one word was echoing in his mind.

Murder

Xiao strode carefully at the blond's side before picking aether up, princess style. He leaned his head and listen to aether's even breathing. After few seconds, he carefully walk towards the door, making sure that the sleeping blonde won't wake up. Lumine immediately went with them and wipe her tears away. The only thing that matters is that aether is with them now.

And at the same time, the siren that had been ringing suddenly stop. The previous red hallway turned back to its spotless white. Lumine felt her communicator rang which made her stop on her tracks.

"Ganyu? Are you there?" She called out before catching up to xiao.

"Lumine? Thank god you're okay! How is xiao? Did you get aether?!" Faced with all sorts of questioned made her happy.

"Yes ganyu...We got him...we finally have him." She happily answered.

But before she could immerse in victory, she stop dead on her tracks. Xiao also stop as he raised his cat like eyes at the man who was blocking his way.
