Another day at this boring school. I hate this place, I mean yeah it's school and all but I hated my classes and even the teachers. until one day a new student walked into my class and changed my life forever.

"You ready to go back?" My sister asks me at the kitchen table. I shrugged my shoulders in an up and down motion. I was sort of ready at the same time I don't want to hear anything anyone has to say. When it was time to leave I get in the car with my sister and we go straight to school. "Thanks for the ride" I said as I was getting out of the car. I ran into the school building to meet up with the boys and Kayla. Sadly Mariano wasn't going to show up. I can handle one day without him. "I'm here" I ran over to Kayla and hug her. "You guys see each other every day and you can't handle at least one day without each other". "Nope". Dante rolls his eyes at us. The four of us were just standing by our first period.
When the bell rang we walk into the classroom and sit down in our seats. "Sarai is your friend already six feet underground ". Of course, the first person to say something. "Fuck off". I yelled. "Sarai don't say that" the teacher exclaimed. "Oh so you blame it on me but not on the person who said the insult about one of your students. How hypocritical of you". She could've said something to that student first. The teacher ignores me and continues on something else. I look over at Samy and he wasn't in his seat. Instead, he was at that one student's desk talking to him. He walks back in anger. "I knew that was going to happen, I know we were supposed to ignore it but if anyone insults my best friend then it won't be possible". "Samy you do what's best for you and your best friend". The first period was done for the day. Now onto the second period. The four of us walk out of class then we head up to the science hall. "Let's just hope I do fine on my own". I enter my science class then I sit down in my seat. I go on my phone to kill time off. I get a notification from snap. I look at the name and as soon as I read it I felt myself smile.

"Sarai phone away please" the teacher says. I do as she says. I put my phone in between my thighs and I focus on the board. I take notes from the board. When the teacher was done with the notes she handed us an assignment to do. When I finished with the assignment I turned it in then I continue to go on my phone.
Mar🇲🇽 I'll meet you at the park tonight.
That was the last thing he said before I turned off my phone. When the bell rang I wait for Samy, Kayla, and Dante by their classroom. I see the three pop out then we go down to the cafeteria. "One beef taco with cilantro, pico de Gallo, lemon, and red salsa please" I said while I was in line telling the food truck worker my order. "Why so much" Samy laughs. "I'm starving what do you expect". Truth is... I wasn't hungry. I haven't eaten since the day I visited Mar at his nurse's house. Kayla knows, she doesn't like what I'm doing either.
When we get our food we go sit down at a table inside the cafeteria. I place the tacos in my bookbag. I watched the three of them enjoy their food. I just sit there and go on my phone. "Sarai I thought you were hungry?". I look up at Samy. "Oh, I changed my mind. I'm just going to eat at home". "I'll eat them if you don't" he jokes. "Nice try you're not getting any of this". I place my phone back in my pocket. I looked up at Kayla she didn't look too happy as usual. "You need to eat Sara" she mouths. I shake my head no. Kayla gets up and grabs her stuff. "I'm going to go to class early. I'll see you guys later". She kisses her boyfriend goodbye and waves goodbye to Samy. "Baby you don't want me to go with you?" Dante asks Kayla and she shakes her head no from a distance. "Kayla was fine five minutes ago what happened?" Dante asks me. I shrug my shoulders up and down. I knew why. She's mad at me.
The bell rings. Dante, Samy, and I get up and we go to our next class. We drop Dante off first then Samy and I walk to class together. On our way to class, I felt myself feeling lightheaded. "Sarai somethings going on between you and Kayla I can see it". "Samy nothing's wrong". I lie, I just didn't want to tell him just yet. "Sarai you seem weak do you want some water?". I felt myself feeling dizzy and dizzy then Bam! I see complete darkness all around me.
