Another day at this boring school. I hate this place, I mean yeah it's school and all but I hated my classes and even the teachers. until one day a new student walked into my class and changed my life forever.

It's currently midnight and I'm on my way home. "I'll see you later". I kissed him on his cheek then I get out of his car and I go into the house. "Sarai can we talk?". Matthias wants to talk to me? Huh weird. "Yeah, ok". We walked down to my mom and dad's office in the basement. "Sarai I don't want you hanging out with that guy anymore. You're seriously hanging out with a murders kid". "What are you talking about". "Castano's kid. He's one of the guys out for me.". "Were you spying on me?". "No, I've been spying on him and his kid since they arrived. I've just been looking out for you. I'll promise to not tell mom and dad if you stop hanging out with him". He's being childish. "He's not out for you Matthias. He's not working with his dad and if he was I would've been dead by now. "He's got you brainwashed. Sarai It's just one simple task to avoid him". I'm not doing it, I love him.
"he's my best friend and I don't want to lose him just like I lost you". "You're my sister I don't want you to get yourself killed". What. "I almost got killed because of you. I was glad I saved your ass and told them that I didn't know where you were while on the other hand, you were in this damn house! You didn't even save me. Do you know who set me free? It was his kid. the one you're after for". "That's impossible, He's Castano's kid he would've never set you free". "Well you're wrong. He's not just like his dad".
"Sarai you knew it was to continue the family legacy. I did this for us, I didn't want to lose my best friend too but it was for the best". "You could've at least taken me with you, instead of leaving me here alone..". "If I see you with him again. I swear I'll kill him. It's for his and your own good". I run down to my room and I slam my door shut. "No. No. No. NO, He can't. He can't kill him". I have to tell him but it's going to be impossible. That's it! I'm going to Samy's. I opened my door and I silently run to my brother's room to grab his keys. I see his car keys on the table and I snatched them away. I go down the stairs I make my way to my brother's car. I unlock it and I get in then drive to Samy's.
I knock on his door and this lady answers. I assume it's his mom. "Hi, I was wondering if Samy was home". She moves her way out of the door and lets me in. "Yes he is dear, he's on the door to your left". "Thank you so much". I make my way to Samy's room and as soon as I get there I see him on his phone. "Sarai! What a surprise". "Samy we need to talk". He gets up and closes his door. "You seem worried . What's going on?" I take a breath in and out before I could talk. I explained the conversation I had with my brother. He was shocked. "What are you going to do now. Do you think your sister would tell your brother if you see him at school?". That's a good point. Heaven would do anything for me so I hope not. "I don't know". "Have you told Mar yet?". "You're the first person I'm telling this to and I don't think I can tell Mar". "You're going to have to tell him somehow". He's right but I don't know how I'm going to tell him. "Why don't we meet up with him somewhere, somewhere your brother doesn't know about". "I think that's a good idea Samy". "here take this to cover yourself in the car". He hands me a blanket to cover myself with. He grabs his car keys and the two of us go to his car. "I'm going to take her home ma I'll see you in a bit". His mom waves goodbye to the two of us as we were leaving his parking space. The drive wasn't as long as I thought it would.
We arrived at some random place with gates around the location. I cover myself with the blanket and I put my seat all the way down. Samy talks to the guard at the gates and he lets us in, well he lets Samy in. "Ok, you can take the blanket off now". I take the blanket off and when I do I see a whole bunch of lights everywhere. It looked like we were underground. "Where are we". "A parking garage under the warehouse, It's just the two of us here". I see a car drive into the garage. It was Mariano's car. "I thought you went home already". He smiled at me. I can't leave him, he's too important to me just like the others in the friend group. "I did, but, um I had to see you" I slightly stutter. "She's right and she has something important to tell you, right Sarai". Great way to ruin the moment Samy. "You could've texted me, called me, or met up with me at the park". "It was better to tell you in a different location".
I get out of the car and I go into his. "I'll just roll my windows up". Once the windows were rolled up all the way he turns around and reaches for my hand. I grabbed his hand tight not wanting to let go. "Mariano. We have to stop seeing each other". I felt his hand let go of mine. "No." He whispers. "Mariano you have become one of the most important people in my life and what we have is going to get us, well you". He stops me. "No". "It could get you killed" I finish the sentence. He cups his hands on my face. Our faces were inches apart. His eyes were red and bloody, so were mine. "I don't care if I die Sarai. I want us to stay together and not stop seeing each other". He kisses me. This is going to hurt. I let go of the kiss. Before I could say goodbye I opened the door and said one last thing. "Goodbye Mar". I get out of his car and Samy drives me home.
