24: Reawakening

Dreamtale

"Brother!" Dream exclaimed happily as he then hugged his purple brother. Nightmare blinking in shock as he has woken up. Glancing around, he saw that they were in Dreamtale, in the past.

"Dream...? We're- We're back here..." Nightmare asked in shock. "Yeah! And since we both remembered. Then that whole fiasco is not a dream." Dream chirped happily while Nightmare laughed a bit and then hugged Dream happily. "I'm so glad... And Brother! I can feel positive emotions again!" Nightmare chirped happily making Dream grin. "Yusss!" Dream fist pumped the air making Nightmare giggled. "And since we're back, we might need to redo our story..." Nightmare realized and Dream pouts and nods. "Dangit, I don't want to be turned to stone again... But without the apples, I can't feel anyone else's feelings but mine." Dream commented. "So do I brother." Nightmare then glanced at the tree and frowned before turning to Dream. "Even now, Mom still won't talk to us..." Nightmare murmured and Dream nods lightly before moving and pulling his brother into a hug. "Hugs!" Dream cheered and Nightmare chuckled softly, leaning against his brother.

"Hugs." Nightmare smiled softly and nuzzled Dream lightly and gently. "I'll make sure I protect you this time brother." Dream softly said. "I am not afraid of stabbing." Dream giggled while Nightmare laughed softly. "Of course you aren't..." Nightmare then leaned against Dream, quite happy that he's still with his brother. "Why would you? After what that Squid had done." Nightmare scoffed in annoyance while Dream nods. He then saw the villagers coming and frowned lightly. "Time for the story..." Dream sighed softly. "Wonder where'd we start though." Dream softly added as Nightmare shrugged. "Do you think it's possible to change our story?" Nightmare whispered and Dream shrugged a bit. "Do you wanna try?" "I don't know..." Nightmare softly said and Dream nods lightly.

And so, they had begun.

Underswap

Blue sighed as he closed the door and then slid down. He then stayed silent before opening the codes to the Multiverse, perking up when he saw Dreamtale. "Dream and Nightmare... Welcome to the new Multiverse..." Blue whispered softly and grinned. "Wonder if they'll change their story like how I did." Blue hummed as he got up. He was still the Original Underswap, there's no more denying that. And he likes his role, means that everyone can underestimate him, only for him to whoop their assess to oblivion.

Blue then closed the portal when he felt a presence coming in. He knows that it's most likely his adoptive mother. Even if River fell into the Core, she still tends to watch over them. Though, it's quite unfortunate that he'll leave the Underswap universe for good after a while. Chara was in a neutral run for killing some of the monsters, and not once has they went a pacifist or a genocide round yet. That's fine though, they're mostly just a scared little kid right now, as opposed to the Chara from the before timeline, who had grown up mentally. For now though, he will have to act.

After eating chocolate. Blue then got up and opened his drawer, pulling out a chocolate bar he pretty much secretly robbed from Underfell and cloned so his drawers are filled with it. He doesn't know why he's craving chocolate almost everyday here and there but figured that being Error's mama somehow messed up his coding...

Shrugging, he then left his room as he took a bite of his chocolate and then went downstairs, keeping his eyelights a circle now. He made sure that Papyrus got used to that circle eyes rather than the star eyes so he won't question much whenever he does his normal eyelights.

Going to the kitchen, he looked around and then looked at the time. By now, Carrot should probably be at the binoculars station, pranking Chara again. He can make a quick cupcake! He then gathered the ingredients around and began to cook a batch. He could maybe give them anonymously! Make someone's day maybe!

He hasn't done that before here in Underswap. And he likes change, he hates repeation. Hell he was so happy when Stretch was now Carrot, as this Papyrus is actually much more nicer! And doesn't drink!

Dangit he's getting all excited again. But still! Not drinking Papyrus! His trauma towards Grillby's alcohol won't get triggered... Honestly. He only gets triggered by Grillby's alcohol and not any other types. Probably because it was the one alcohol brand that Stretch always breaks his skull with.

Speaking of which, he gained a permanent scar from that which was more prominent after the reset. Carrot worried but didn't even baby him like Stretch would!

Honestly, he might love this new Reset life. Especially since he doesn't feel as restricted as before.

His SOUL skipped a beat when he was humming, a surge of happiness that felt like not his own washing over him. But he's sure that it's his, especially if it came from his SOUL.

It's not like he has something inside his SOUL after all.

Error

I'm glad Mama's feeling happy! He deserves it!

Mama deserves the world!!

I swished around the inside of Mama's SOUL, sending out happy signals to Mama every so often, knowing that it would also make him happy in turn. The chocolate Mama ate was good too though, definitely from Underfell! Quite annoying I can't eat chocolate by myself but I can't really do much since I'm stuck as a SOUL right now.

But hey, I can just send signals of wanting to eat chocolate to Mama so he can eat as well!

I also heard from the outside that the Papyrus now prefers to be called Carrot, which was already a better change. And during my time in Mama's SOUL, it was quite endearing how Carrot actually doesn't think of Mama like a little kid, unlike Stretch. I already like this orange Papyrus! Just hopes that he also likes me too... The last one didn't because I took Mama, but I was panicking and didn't realized that I did :(

But it was also a good thing I took Mama anyways, he wouldn't've became my Mama in any other case! So it's really a win win scenario in the end.

Now I smell the freshly baked cupcakes. I wanna try! Mama eat a cupcake! Eat a cupcaaaaaake!
