Everytime I talked to the girls in here, they looked at my scars. Only Eli didnt. I felt like telling her numerous times but you cant just come out and say
"Oh hey Eli, guess what? I was held hostage by my father as a little girl and he tried to slit my throat. Once he was taken to jail, 5 years later, I was in a car accident that killed your dad and my mom. By the way, I like licorice."
No way to sugar coat that one. I hadnt told anyone about my moms death, I called my auntie my mom. It happened when I was 12. I tell everyone my dads in jail, but I say he robbed a store. Yeah, ive had a pretty fucked up life. Plus when Eli and I first became best friends, she saw me about to get raped by my best friends boyfriend.
Perfect.
I always turned to music. 'For the Love of a Daughter' by Demi Lovato was my favorite song. Im happy I cut my thighs, though I stopped, its less scars people look at. Which means less judgement.
But when little kids ask me where I got my scars on my neck and fce, I say I was hurt by the knight trying to hurt me and my prince. They believe it and in their minds, Im a legend. To others, when they ask, I say I was in a car accident. Whcih is partially true.
I was done with my song choice, wardorbe, and choreography. SO I jumped in the shower once Abby was done.
Just need to clear my head.
'How am I going to tell my best friend my mom killed her dad.' was all I could think the rest of the night.
