*** Genesis' POV ***
I heard Elisa talking on her phone 2 nights ago and now that our performances are over I can focus on this. I recorded it. She said she had Louis wrapped around her finger and that us girls were oblivious to what she's doing.
I wanted to show Eli because, no doubt, shes the smartest in the group. But she's been all over the place with the whole Austin thing. She says she's fine but we all beg to differ. Its 1:02 in the morning and Elisa's on the phone again.
I keep hearing mumbles from the person on the other line, but I can hear Elisa loud and clear.
"I performed Paris by Grace and The Nocturnals." followed by another mumble from the other line.
"No, I have him right where I want him"
'Mumble'
"These girls dont suspect anything. Like I told you before, the only one Im watching out for is the girl Eli. Shes smart and could uncover my story at any time. But shes a whole wreck over some stupid guy, shes even more naive then all the other girls."
How could she say such a thing about one of the nicest girls Ive known!?
I heard alot more talk from the other person on the line. All I could pick up was that there was one girl and one guy.
"Once I get the money, from either the show or that grown man-child, we can go somewhere. Like I promised. Now shut the hell up. I run this thing. Not you. I dont see any of you out here trying to play the system. NONE OF YOU WANTED TO. Now Im here. I made it. Dont criticize me or youll have your work cut out for you when I get back. Do you understand?" She was whisper-yelling. Loud enough for me to hear, right next to her, but not for the girls on the other sides of the room. Her rant was followed by many things on the other line.
"Good. Now leave me alone before one of these girls wakes up. You rats."
It was followed by a beep of her phone indicating she was off the phone so I turned off my recorder. I plan on telling Eli everything I know. Even if I have to slap her back to reality.
I couldnt sleep. I kept thinking about how I should play this out. Should I just go up to Eli and whisper it in her ear?
No, too obvious.
Ask her if I can talk to her alone?
Still too obvious.
Tell her I need her help on a problem at home?
Perfect.
Eli has stuff going on at home all the time. And I dont mean that in a mean way, trust me. I feel bad for her. But if I ever actually had something going on at home, I would deffinitely ask Eli. She's so genuine and sweet, unless you piss her off. Its like the girl version of the Hulk being unleashed. Well I looked at the clock and it was 6:30. Eli usually woke up to go pee at this time in the morning. Kind of her daily routine. Then she gets on her laptop, and checks Twitter but then instantly regrets. Then she stays in her bed all day unless we go to studio.
Today, we get to go home. We stay there until the judges call us to the studio around 8/9. I have a feeling Eli will leave pretty early. Thats when I need to talk to her.
Like I figured, Eli did get up around 6:33 in her favorite sweats and black crew neck tee. She has like a million pairs of those. Once she got out, I ran over to her. Instead of her being depressed all day, she should at least be depressed for a reason other than a guy.
She was shocked at how I got up and there so fast. Yes, I'm tiny, but have a little faith.
"I need to talk to you. Somewhere, private." I whispered in a serious tone. She just nodded and put on slippers. I grabbed my phone and starting walking towards the door.
"Whats this about Genesis?" she asked in a hush tone.
"Uh, family problems."
We walked down the hallway to the elevator and I pressed the 'Lobby' button. Once we got there, I dragged her to the corner of the dining room where they do breakfast. I got her a cup of coffee to wake her up and I got myself Orange Juice.
"Okay, so I dont really have family problems. But we have something big to worry about. It has to do with Elisa.." I let my voice trail off. Once I said Elisa's name, her eyes met mine, like I finally got her attention.
"Im all ears." Good to know.
"So I havent been able to sleep these past few days so i just stay up and think about everything. 2 nights ago, Elisa was up and she was on the phone. I recorded it after I heard her say that all us girls were stupid. Here" I got out my phone and opened up the recording from 2 days ago.
Eli's eyes went wide as she listened to the recording. "Is that all you have? Or is there more?" without saying anything, I pulled up the one from last night. I let her listen in on the whole thing this time. Anger flared in her eyes as she heard Elisa say something about her sadness. Once it was over, she stared at the phone for a while.
"Eli, what do we do?" I had worry in my voice. What if she were to win? What if she hurt Louis?
"We could show this to the other girls and Louis. If he hears himself, that the girl he is so smitten over, is taking advantage of this show and him, he wont want her on the show. But we have to do it soon."
Yay, Eli's back!!!
"We need to get this to Louis first. Thats our main priority. The girls we can do later." Eli told me.
"Okay so do you wanna go up there now? I know Austins gonna be there. So we can just tell who ever opens the door that we need Louis ASAP." She just nodded her head and worry piled over her face. "Eli, guys are guys. Theyre stupid! They do stupid things! But your smart. Smart enough to get over this and help me. Pull yourself together." She stood up and walked to the elevator.
I followed her in to the elevator where she pressed the 'Level 10' button. I looked at her, worried she would back out. But I was more than excited by the words she said:
"Lets do this."
