"You can only meet at night, huh?" asked Wilbur as the leaves above him began to rustle. The cold of the night moved ceaselessly through the forest, tugging at his sweater as if to pull him along. Wilbur rubbed his hands together and leaned against the tree he had been waiting by earlier.

Wilbur did not freeze despite the cold of the night, but he was annoyed by the circumstances in which Dream requested him. For example, the angel had not contacted him for weeks, but then sent him a message on short notice today.
"I wanted to sleep, actually," he added wearily.

"I think someone would notice if an angel walked through your territory in broad daylight," the person he had waited so long in the cold for appeared above him, "Besides, I thought you were nocturnal?"
Dream was perched on a large branch about a meter above him, he wore a white mask that hid his face except for his eyes, which lit up an eerie bright green.

His eyes were special, even for angels who commonly had technical features. They acted like a visor and provided better precision and faster reaction time. Dream's machine parts whirred as he leaned over the branch and looked down at Wilbur. Every time he and Wilbur faced each other, he was impressed with how Dream could appear so dangerous despite his cocky attitude. Wilbur felt like a prey animal staring directly into the eyes of his Predator every time he was gazed at by the green laser-like eyes.

"Are you angels even remotely interested in us? Ugh, you know what? I don't care. What do you want?", Wilbur was a little fed up with him. Hybrids were still part human, but to most angels, they were wild animals that needed to be controlled. Dream just laughed out loud and grinned before swinging off the branch. After he landed, he spun around in a circle once with exuberance and then turned to his hybrid friend.

"I wanted to give you a specific task," Dream said, adjusting his mask. His whole body, except the mask, was dressed in black, a dark hood was pulled over his head. Only a part of his blond hair and his mechanical eyes were visible. Even his hands were covered with black gloves. Coming out of his pocket, he suddenly pulled out a small capsule and held it in front of the boy's face.

The capsule was the size of a pill, and he held it between his thumb and index finger. What fascinated Wilbur was the contents of the capsule because through the transparent shell glistened a small purple liquid. The thick liquid moved slowly back and forth between Dream's fingers inside her capsule.

"Listen, this is a very expensive and important liquid and you need to give it to your brown-haired friend. Preferably so he doesn't notice," he explained, glancing alternately at Wilbur's face and the capsule between his fingers.

The two stood close to each other. So close that Wilbur could pull down the mask to finally find out what was underneath, but he didn't dare.
"Who are you talking about?", Wilbur tried to stay calm, looking into the creepy poison-green eyes of his counterpart. His breath became visible in the night air, rising smoke-like into the sky.

"The one from the other dimension, of course!"
"Wha- How do you know that." but Dream just laughed and shook his head.
"I don't feel like answering your stupid questions, Wilbur. Either you dose him with that vial or-", he was interrupted by Wilbur.
"Or what? I'm happy to help you but-", Wilbur swallowed and thought of the crows, of Techno, of his father, and of Quackity. Even though sometimes he would like to chase the latter out of his thoughts, but he couldn't actively betray them, "I can't do it."

That was not exactly what the angel wanted to hear.
"I care little what you can and cannot do. You must do it, or I'll cut off your wings, take them to your father, and tell him you're a traitor," he hissed the last words, leaning menacingly over the hybrid, though they didn't differ much in size. Dream had actually managed to make the usually unfazed Wilbur tremble, even his wings had fluffed up.
