Months had passed where (Y/N) endured the verbal attacks Hange flung her way constantly. It was a miracle that any work had gotten done due to the extent the two fought with each other. Hange almost always started the argument, usually with a snide comment about looking down at (Y/N) or insulting her work...(Y/N) had refused to be on the receiving end of Hange's abuse for long because she too would fight back. In private, of course, because if Erwin heard the way she talked to Hange he would have fired her on the spot. Any chemistry that had once existed between the two, any understanding had all gone down the drain. Hange showed no respect, no mercy towards (Y/N).

"I told you, that part goes over here," Hange frowned, snatching the tiny metal piece from (Y/N)'s hand. A model of the drone sat in front of them and if (Y/N) hadn't been bursting with a sense of pride and accomplishment, she would have definitely given a snide retort. Hange clicked the last piece in and beamed down at the creation.

"It's finally done," (Y/N) breathed, staring at her brainchild in awe. Seeing it completed in front of her made her the happiest she had felt in her entire life. Finally, she had been capable of creating something worthy of helping the world.

"Just in time too," Hange muttered. "The convention is in two days. Nanaba and Miche have already left and checked into the hotel."

(Y/N) gnawed on her lip, thinking about traveling over 200 miles with the person she couldn't stand. She had been foolish to hope for reconciliation with Hange. While the rest of the office members ignored her and shot her occasional glares, they never disrespected her. But Hange made it a personal game to do whatever it took to irk her.

"We have hotel rooms that are booked too," Hange reached for their phone, going over the reservations. "It says we should be there 24 hours earlier to check-in for the convention. Our presentation is on the second day. We'll have to leave tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" (Y/N) exclaimed, surprised. She hadn't even packed anything. In fact, she didn't even know what normally happened at a convention, this was going to be her first one. Her pride wasn't letting her ask Hange for more information. She'd just have to ask someone else.

"Yes. Everything is prepared, I'll have the model packed in something protective during the travel. All we need to do is submit the presentation slides, so we have something to present with. And..." Hange frowned, looking down at their phone. "Huh, that's weird."

"What?"

"I can't find anything for transportation," Hange tilted their head. "Usually, it will mention that we're taking a plane or something, but I don't see any tickets. Erwin must know why. Come."

(Y/N) followed after Hange as they mumbled to themselves. She would have thought that Hange was being nice by offering her to go with them to Erwin's office, but then she remembered that she couldn't be left alone. The hallways were empty as normal during this time, and Hange walked directly towards Erwin's office, the heels of their boots clicking against the marble floors. (Y/N) took the time to imagine traveling all the way to another city and going through a convention with Hange. Since they would have separate rooms, it wouldn't be too much of a problem. But now she only had overnight to pack all of her important belongings while simultaneously figuring out what to actually do during the convention.

"Erwin," Hange stated as they entered. "We have a problem."

The blonde man looked up from his desk, raising an eyebrow as he saw the two people enter. "What is it now, Hange? I'm not increasing the budget for your experiment if that's what you've come to ask me to do."

"No, it's about the convention. I don't see any plane tickets in my mailbox," Hange handed Erwin the phone. "Where are the tickets? I thought you were the one who finalized all of these decisions."
