Alberto POV 

I opened my eyes slowly as the sun shined on my face warmly. I felt a weight on my chest so i looked down.

I saw lucas adorable face peacefully rested on my chest as his arms wrapped around my torso.

Although this was a nice feeling i couldn't focus on it for long. I needed to figure out a way to distract luca from the news of yesterday.

I wanted to see him smile and laugh again. But what to do

Hmmm...i pondered my options soon feeling luca shift and groan as he opened his eye's and looked up at me

Luca: good morning beto

Alberto: morning bubble ( ps. It's cannon luca gets called bubble by his grandma)

Luca: so what should we do today?

Alberto: ok so i was thinking we go to the island for a bit to hang out and then plan more stuff from there

Luca smiled sweetly as he opened his mouth to speak.

Luca: i like that idea

I sat up and so did luca. we both started getting changed and ready to go to the island.

This was the perfect distraction. Far away from people that might remind him of his parents death. And just close enough to the town to if we needed something we could just swim over.

We made it up the hill and climbed up the make shift ladder. I really need to fix the ladder.

We sat on the floor in silence for a bit just peering into eachothers eye's . Him staring into my green eyes and me staring into his brown ones.

It was nice, a comforting silence i enjoyed it. But decided to break it anyways (just like you tried to break lucas nose in the movie 🙄)

Alberto: so luca what should we do today? I mean we could always try and rebuild our vespa?

He giggled

Luca:Sure alberto let's do that

We got to work grabbing parts and hammering them together. And before long we were done

Alberto: wow it's just like when we first met

I smirked

Luca: so should we ride it?

Alberto: hell yeah

We both pushed the "vespa" up the hill our hands brushing against each others ocassionly. A light blush forming on our faces.

I hoped on the front and luca hoped on the back wrapping his arms around my waist as we pushed off the hill just like old times.

As we both float in the water i peered over to luca who looked like he had something on his mind.

Alberto: what's on your mind amore?

Luca had a slight pink tint on his face from the nickname as he replied.

Luca: i..no nevermind it's stupid

I put my hand on his face as i spoke.

Alberto: luca nothing you say to me is going to make me think your stupid, now what's on your mind?

Luca: um i was wondering...

He looked away not wanting to say his thoughts

Alberto: take all the time you need luca

Luca: *inhale* i was wondering if we could go to my old home to grab some of my stuff..

Alberto: if that's what you want to do ofcoarce but will you be ok in that environment?

Luca: I'll be fine beto

Alberto: whatever you say let's go

We both began to swim down to Lucas old home my heart begining to sink wondering if luca would truly be ok In there
