Lets Go To Joes

Your in work the next day but your not on Amelias service today your on Dr. Robbins service in peds. Peds wasn't one of your highest interests because you were never the best at keeping yourself together when the children died. You and Arizona make your way through the hospital attending to her patients and making sure all the little boys and girls were ok.

You now make your way down to the cafeteria to grab a bite to eat for lunch you walk in and Amelia tells you to go and sit with her so you walk over.

"Hi y/n how are you liking being with Dr. Robbins?" She asks

"It's pretty nice.. but I'm not very good in peds its just so stressful and it's so difficult telling a parent that there child didn't make it and it's just not something I'm the best at" you say

"So I still have yhe chance of getting you as my neurosurgeon?" She asks with a smile on her face

"Yea you do that was never a chance you would lose" you say

"Good" she says "oh your being summoned by Meredith and her little friends" she laughs

"It appears I am" you say "bye Amelia" you say as you walk away

"She is honestly adorable" Amelia says to the other attendings that she is sitting with

"Amelia are you seriously falling for a first year resident?" Mark asks

"I mean I'm pretty sure she's gay..?" Amelia says "is falling for a resident really that bad?" She asks

"Yes it is look at her she is like the youngest in her residents class!" Arizona says motioning to the table and you appear to be the smallest of the group

"Just because she's small doesn't mean she's the youngest..." Amelia argues

"Whatever you say Amelia" Callie says

"Why do the shepherds always go for the young ones?" Mark jokes

Amelia isn't really paying attention she's thinking about something

"Amelia?" Arizona says to get her attention

"I'm gonna go ask her out.. without making it seem like it's a date.. I'll ask if she wants to go to joes with me tonight!" Amelia says ignoring all of them

"Good luck Amelia" mark says as Amelia walks away

"Hey guys I have a question for y/n.." Amelia says once she's over there

"What is it?" You ask

"Wanna go to joes tonight with me?" She asks

"Yea of course!" You say

"Great! See you later" she says before walking back to where she was sitting

"Did Amelia just ask you out on a date?" George asks

"No we're just going out for drinks" you say

"Whatever you say y/n.." Alex says

After you guys are done there you are back with Arizona and you guys are just now finishing up her last patient and then you can go home. You guys finish up and then you head back to the hosue to get ready for drinks with Amelia. You get there and you change into a pair of jeans and a cute shirt you found. You walk downstairs to see Amelia in the kitchen waiting for you.

"You ready to go to joes?" She asks

"Yea I'm ready" you say and then you guys leave.
