Great Date...?

I wake up the next day and remember I'm scrubbing in on Amelias surgery and jump out of bed and get ready as fast as I can. I run downstairs once I'm ready and see Amelia just sitting in the kitchen.

"Hey hey hey! What's the rush come eat some breakfast with me" she says

"Alright" you sit down next to her and you guys eat some breakfast and Amelia told me  about the patient i were gonna be working with her on today.

"Wow seems like a good surgery Amelia.. now where are we going for dinner tonight?" I ask

"I don't know yet probably somewhere good" she says and we both laugh

"You haven't planned it have you?" I ask

"Not yet.. but.. it will be amazing I promise" she says

Amelia and I get ready and head off to work leaving the others at home cause they are still sleeping. We go into surgery and it is successful.

"Great job you did amazing in there!" Amelia says

"Wanna go grab a bite to eat?" I ask Amelia

"I can't I'm sorry I have a consult in 10 minutes" Amelia says frowning

"Oh it's ok I'll see you tonight" I say and walk away to the cafeteria to grab some lunch

// Switching to Amelias POV //

I head down finish the consult and as I'm walking out link approaches me once again.

"I told you to leave me alone link" I say

"Y/n isn't who she says she is" link says

"What?" I ask

"She has many secrets nobody knows.. like where did she come from? Where was she before? Do you even know anything about her?" He says

"Umm.. what are you getting at?" I ask

"Im saying.. how do you know you can even trust her?" He says

"I just.. I just do i guess.." I say

"Well I'm just looking out for you amelia don't trust her unless you wanna get hurt" he says and then walks away..

I just stand there for a second and think about what he had said.. 'what if he's right...' I think to myself. 'Maybe I should trust her this much yet..' I can't stop thinking about his words all day. I end up asking Bailey if I can stay on call that night to watch the patient instead of the intern.

I go home the next day and see y/n walking downstairs looking upset.

"Hey..." I say

"You stood me up" she says

"I'm sorry.. I was on call last night" I say

"Don't play dumb I saw you ask Bailey if you cole stay for the patient" she says "I knew this would happen amelia I just knew it, so just please stay out of my life unless you have something work related because frankly I don't wanna talk to you anymore" she says as she walks right past me refusing to make eye contact walking straight to the kitchen.

'I messed up...' I think to myself as Meredith walks downstairs

"What the hell did you do Amelia?" Meredith asks "y/n was crying all night waiting for you!" "You stood her up on the first date!"

"I.. I don't know somebody got into my head and I don't know why i listened.." I say

"Well yoh really broke her heart and you need to fix her!" Meredith says before walking into the kitchen to y/n.
