Sumia started to lunge at Robin, but she noticed Chrom stepping in. Quickly thinking, she grabbed Robin and held the knife to his throat.

"Don't you come any closer!" she cried, Chrom's eyes grew wide with fear, he stopped in his tracks.

Sumia placed the tip of the dagger on the side of Robin's neck, he felt it stinging.

"Chrom...run." Robin said softly.

"Shut up!" she hissed.

"Sumia, please." Chrom pleaded, "Just let Robin go. And Leave. Please."

"Why?" she sneered, "I was planning on doing this anyway. You just made it easier by bringing yourselves to me."

"What do you want?"

"I wanted you. But it seems your heart is in another place." she seemed a little sad. "Now, all I want is to see you suffer."

He started to slowly step towards her, "Sumia. I know you're a good person. We will forgive you. You can stay here! Just please let him go."

"Like I'd believe that." she laughed. "I'll spare you the sight of watching him die. You have 30 seconds to leave." She started to dig the tip into his throat slightly.

"C-Chrom...Please...go." Robin pleaded.

"I promised I'd protect you.." he whispered.

He lunged at Sumia as fast as he could, she managed to slash the side of Robin's throat, in the same spot Chrom had left his love mark. Chrom pounced on her. He disarmed her quickly before picking up Robin and running out of the tent as fast as he could.  He looked down at Robin, blood was seeping from his neck. He pressed his hand against it while running to Lissa's tent.

"Lissa!" he cried, looking at his sister who was sleeping. He placed Robin on her spare bed she had for patients. She woke up quickly, running over to him with her staff.

"Oh gods, I don't think he's going to make it..." she started to treat him while Chrom watched.

The next morning, Chrom went to Sumia's tent. She was gone,  all of her stuff was missing. "Damn..." he wanted to tell her off at least, but she probably snuck away while he was in Lissa's tent.

He went to check on Robin, he wasn't awake yet. Chrom squeezed his hand, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you...I'm a failure. I'm such a coward, I put you at risk just to save our reputation. I should have tried harder to keep you with me..." tears rolled down his cheeks.

Slowly, Robin opened his eyes. He saw Chrom above him and smiled. He tried to open his mouth to speak but the side of his throat was throbbing.

"Robin! You're okay!" he threw himself on him and squeezed him tightly.

Robin didn't talk, but his eyes shined in recognition. "I'm sorry I failed you." Chrom sighed.

Robin shook his head, indicating he didn't fail him at all.

"I love you, Robin. Sumia is gone, she will no longer threaten us. As soon as you're ready we can leave this place."

He nodded his head.

Chrom talked to Robin while he listened with his eyes closed, soon he fell asleep. He left the tent to leave him be and met up with Frederick, telling him of what had happened over the past few days.

A few weeks passed, Robin was able to walk around, although his speaking was still awkward.

Robin was in Chrom's tent, he was packing.

"I think we should move out tomorrow. You're healing nicely, do you think we can?"

"...I...do.." Robin smiled.

Chrom went up to him and planted a big kiss on his cheek. "We'll go far away. If you don't feel up to walking you can ride on Frederick's horse.

Robin nodded. Chrom fixed his hair that had fallen out of place and cupped his cheeks. His skin was soft. "You are just so cute." Robin blushed but smiled back at him.

"From now on, it'll just the two of us. I won't let anything get between our relationship. I love you so much."

"I...love..you too..Chrom" Robin caressed Chrom's cheek.

"Now, back to packing." he sighed.  "If you're not feeling well I can pack your stuff for you."

"I'll do...it." Robin opened his book and began to read. Chrom watched him for a bit before returning to packing.

Knowing they had nothing to worry about now, Robin and Chrom could finally be at peace.
