Reckless Fool

They sat in the steaming water, holding hands. "This is so relaxing..." Chrom sighed deeply. He held Robin's hand and smiled. "I agree. We should do this more often. Although I don't like the fact we put everyone in danger so we could spend the day together..." a pang of guilt spread across him.

Chrom squeezed his hand tighter.  "They're experienced fighters. They can go one battle without us." he tried to make his voice sound reassuring. 

"I hope you're right. I wouldn't wa-" They heard someone approaching.

"O-oh, gods..!  Someone's here. Oh, oh gods no." Robin started to panic.

The footsteps were coming closer.

"Robin,  do you trust me?" Chrom looked at him sternly.

"I-I do, but-"

Suddenly he felt himself go underwater, he started to panic, he could feel a hand over his head.

Sumia walked in with nothing on but a towel.

"Sumia!" Chrom cried out, rushing his words. "Please leave immediately I'm taking a bath."

She used one hand to cover her eyes. "Oh, Captain! I'm sorry!  I'm so sorry! I thought I would mess up so I decided not to go. Oh dear, please don't get mad!"

"It's fine! Please just leave immediately." his voice became more urgent as Robin started to squeeze his hand.

"I want to! But I think we never get to spend time together. It would be nice if we got to uh-"

"Sumia! You're making me extremely uncomfortable. Please, just leave now!" he barked.

"But Captain!  As your ally and one of the Shepherds I think it's your duty to give us all equal attention!  You spend so much time planning with Robin we don't even get to see you! It's not fair at all!"

"LEAVE!" He was screaming now, almost as if the steam was coming from him and not the hot bath.

"I'm sorry, Captain." she ran out. 

Chrom waited until he couldn't hear her footsteps anymore and pulled Robin up. He tried to gasp but he was full of water.  Chrom patted his back until he coughed it all up. He was panting, eyes wide.

"I'm sorry, Robin. It's all I could think of so we wouldn't get caught.  I'm sorry." he hugged him tight.

He coughed a bit more, the water was suddenly freaking him out. "I-its fine." his voice was a little hoarse. "I'm going to get out now." he stood up and got out, his legs shaking as he reached for a towel to dry himself.
"Please leave first and watch for Sumia." he said as he got dressed.  Chrom followed him out and put his clothes on as well. "I will. Get some rest, okay? I'll come visit you tonight." he put his hand on his shoulder.

"I look forward to seeing you." he coughed once more.

"The feeling is mutual. Tonight,  I promise to make it up to you." Chrom kissed Robin on the cheek and left him in the bath house.

"Reckless Fool." Robin muttered.
