"Now, raise your hand if you believe a remake will spoil the original."

Again, the same hands. Poor Greg. Poor Michael. How very uncomfortable :(

"Raise your hand if you have mixed feelings about this documentary, like you know it could go two ways but you believe in miracles."

I thought I was going to be the only one. But with my eyes closed, I heard more hands fly up, including Jim's, as his hand bumped my shoulder as it went up. It must have meant we were sitting quite close together :)

"Raise your hand if you have full belief that this will work, that absolutely nothing will go wrong and we will be SO much better than the original."

"ME!" Dwight couldn't help yelling as he raised his hand.

Still covering my face, I squinted around the room. Surely enough, diary, Dwight was the only one. What a surprise.

Jim was looking, too. We peeked at one another from the gaps in our hands and exchanged knowing grins :)

"Okay, I won't name any names, but whoever called out and raised their hand just then might need to rethink their decision. Thank you to that person...or persons, rather, for their feedback, but we really need to draw the line when we become too optimistic," Greg replied.

"YES CHIEF!" Dwight bowed his head.

"So, for my final question: Raise your hand if you would believe me if I told you that David Brent, Gareth, Tim, Dawn and the team have approved this adaptation to go ahead."

We all were peeking by now. Everyone's hands went up. And I mean EVERYONE.
