It's just unlucky that all of this documentary filming is happening in the midst of all the uncertainty around Dunder Mifflin about downsizing. One of the branches will suffer and if its ours, Michael will have to fire one of us :(

If I was fired and our pilot didn't get picked up, well, maybe that wouldn't be so bad, which is kinda what I said in my talking heads. But, if I got fired and NBC had renewed our show, then, that's on a whole other level. It would be so disappointing.

Now that we are in it, as much as we all hate working here and Michael Scott can get on our nerves, I know that we are all thinking the same thing: We DON'T wanna leave.

This would be our one and only shot at something better than working at a paper company. Not just because of the documentary, though. (I've made it VERY CLEAR, diary, that I am NOT gonna get my hopes up). We've been working here for as long as we can remember, and we're totally in our comfort zone. I would definitely miss Jim the most if I had to leave. He's like my closest friend in the office :)

After the crew filming the prank of Dwight's stapler in Jell-O, they wanted to film a Corporate official, and that was none other than Jan Levinson-Gould, the Vice President of Sales at Dunder Mifflin. Lucky for them, she was visiting our branch to talk to Michael today from NYC.

And for the first time EVER, I was asked to be present with Michael at his office during the interview with Jan. Whilst being filmed. No pressure! This was because Michael needed ME to tell Jan where the fax from Corporate was, although he knew it was in the wastepaper basket, apparently the "filing cabinet".

Jan looks intimidating when you first see her, but that's what any sales rep looks like. I've only greeted her from the front desk every time she comes to visit, or when she calls our branch from the phone, and its not because I'm scared of her! I've literally known her for years. It's only because I have no other reason to talk to her.

Jan and Michael are GREAT friends, so I hope this shows in the pilot. They get on reeeeeeeeeeeeeally well, no joke. As an office, we've always knew Michael's little success in love, and his long-time wish to marry someone and have kids. It's really sad :(

He DEFINITELY likes Jan and wants to be in a relationship with her, and Jim and I have tried to set them up in the past, sitting them next to each other at the one time Jan came to the Dundies, hacking into Michael's PC (only fair after all the times he's hacked into our computers) to e-mail her a love letter, and not to mention that one Friday night when Jan and Michael FELL ASLEEP in the conference room while showing us a tape of training. Jim and I told everyone to go home quickly and quietly so we could launch our plan into action. We swapped the office training tape with a Friends tape that Jim had recorded of the romantic scene of Ross and Rachel reacting to the prom video. After The Office and The Apprentice, Michael was a huge Friends fan and said that it cured his lovesick heart :) We filled up bowls of popcorn from the break room for them to snack on, filled glasses of champagne, flicked on the lights on and off so they would wake up, pressed play on the remote, and then we left before they could find out who did all of this.

Michael revealed the next week that it was one of the best nights of his life and wanted whoever made it to forever remain a mystery, so Jim and I are still incognito to this day ;) As much as they had loved the experience, NONE of those events had drawn Jan and Michael close enough to form a relationship. HOW???? :0 :0 :0 Jim and I are STILL trying to work out how the hell this could be possible. We aren't gonna give up anytime soon, though. Just like Cher and Dionne setting up their teachers in Clueless.

We can only guess why, though. A relationship in the Corporate field as high-ranking officials would put both their roles in jeopardy :(

Her and Michael have been speaking in gibberish for so long, believe me, I've heard on the phone. So it's common for Jan to say "Scott Michael, Branch Scranton, see to lovely all you," without realizing. But SOMEHOW, today, she DIDN'T! She was a completely different person as soon as she walked in the door, not making her usual playful cues and antics. THEN we knew that she was gonna change due to this documentary.

In the office, there was absolutely NO gibberish coming out of her mouth.
