You arrived on Liyue harbour a bit after you spot the traveller running towards the Jade chamber. You quickly got off your ride and took off to him.
"Aether!" You shouted at him.
He stopped running along with Paimon as he looked back at you.
"(Y/n)? You aren't supposed to be here!" Paimon stated worriedly.
"It's okay, I made an agreement with lady Ningguang." You convinced them,
The traveller only gave you a reassuring nod as you both ran to the Jade chamber.
"Aren't you supposed to be at that ball today with Zhongli?" Aether questioned you as he ran beside you.
"Yes, I was enjoying the night until we saw Liyue looking distorted by the balcony. I thought I'd come here to see what's happening since it was all part of my contract with Ningguang." You stated,
"What contract?!" Paimon shouted.
"Mainly a life time exchange of mora for my needs but I don't really care about that, I just wanted to protect-" you paused.
"What was that? A life time exchange of needs?" Paimon questioned.
"..Yes, I'm not doing this for anyone. I'm only helping because it gives me the advantage." You lied.
You both continued to run towards the jade chamber until you were face to face with an overlord vortex; Osial.
Liyue seemed to be in distraught as the air felt suffocating and the atmosphere around you was dark and cold. The sky was a pale shade of dark grey and green as the large tentacles of the sea monster rose from the water.
"Oh my, it hasn't destroyed Liyue yet has it?!" Paimon exclaimed.
You both were frozen until you noticed the group of Adepti and the qixing behind you.
