It was the beginning of July 2016, and LDN were attending the movie premiere for Glee. They were walking around the red carpet area looking for Ally when they finally spotted her and Troy. "Hey, guys!" Ally greeted her friends. Troy waved to them.
"Hey," they all reciprocated.
Normani started to talk, "This is huge. You must be nervous."
"Thanks Mani if I weren't already nervous enough," Ally replied sarcastically.
"I'm sorry," Normani apologized. Everyone laughed.
"Okay, guys don't freak out, but I invited Camila," Ally said nervous about how her friends would react.
"I'm leaving." Lauren turned around and started walking off.
Ally quickly grabbed Lauren's arm and turned her to face her. "I don't even know if she's coming because she never responded to my messages. But, don't you think it's time that we all forgive and forget?"
"No," Dinah retorted.
Ally sighed. "I see that Lauren is rubbing off on you. You and Camila used to be so close."
Dinah countered, "Well, we aren't close anymore. She's the one who hasn't called or texted me since we were dropped from Epic."
Troy broke in to lighten the mood, "This is a happy day. Let's not ruin it." All of the ladies nodded in agreement.
"Hey, I've gotta walk the red carpet. Will I see y'all at the after parties?" asked Ally.
"No. I wish we could go, but we have to wake up early to film the Wendy Williams show," answered Normani.
"Oh, wow. Well, call me later to let me know how you liked the movie," said Ally.
"We will." Normani hugged Ally and so did Lauren and Dinah. They all waved each other off.
The next day, LDN was sitting in the dressing room at the Wendy Williams show. Normani really enjoyed the movie from the day before, but it made her miss Camila. They always watched musicals together and sung the songs.
"Look. The backstabber's on TV" Lauren was pointing at the television in the dressing room, which was playing Ellen. Camila was on the show.
An employee knocked and walked in. "Ladies, we're ready for you." LDN stood up to walk into a studio filled with applause.
"You are all so beautiful," Wendy complimented.
"Thank you," LDN all said at once.
Wendy asked the expected questions on their music, how Fifth Harmony broke up, and how LDN formed. All was going well until she asked, "So, what is this Camren thing I keep hearing about?"
Dinah and Normani looked at Lauren not knowing what to say, and Lauren rolled her eyes. "It's a name that was originally for our friendship, but some fans twisted it to describe a romantic relationship. We were never together like that. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but I'm not bisexual or a lesbian."
"That's not what I heard," responded Wendy. The whole audience gasped. "I've seen the pictures and videos. You two were a little too close."
Lauren was struggling to control her temper. "Women are beautiful, but I have never had an interest in being with them that way. Cubans are very affectionate people, and I don't think most Americans understand that. I only saw Camila as a really good friend. I can't really say the same for her."
Everyone could see Wendy getting excited about the gossip that was about to come. "Oh, now this is getting juicy."
Normani mouthed to Lauren, "No," but Lauren ignored her and continued. "Camila had a girl crush on me or maybe more than that. I'm not homophobic, so I didn't mind. She not only hit on me, but she was always hitting on the other members of Fifth Harmony. She would even flirt with our female fans. I always felt like she was more interested in girls than boys." Dinah put her head in her hands and Normani stared at Lauren wondering what the fuck had gotten into her.
