Today was picture day. My parents helped me find a formal suit with a tie for the politican theme. When I put it on, I felt like an adult. I didn't like that feeling, to be honest. I thought I looked weird, but it was for a picture, so I had no other choice but to deal with it.
When I arrived to school, everyone had normal clothes on.
„Where are your suits?" I asked a group of girl in my class.
„We will dress into them later," Madison answered me.
Why didn't I think of that? I could've wore a fancy dress for the day and put on the suit just for the special class picture. But oh well. Our first lesson was German. I swear we have the most annoying teacher. Or atleast one of the most annoying ones. But today was alright. She told us to write a few sentences about our summer break and make one of them a lie, and others had to guess which one of them isn't true.
„Can I start?" Kyle asked.
„Sure," our teachers, Mrs. Simpson, agreed.(Translated from German) „I flew to the Moon with a space ship. I was there with my family. The weather was nice. I enjoyed it there. We also had barbecue every night."
„That's so difficult and funny, Kyle," Mrs. Simpson criticised him, unamused. She's tired of his jokes. But I have to say this one was good. Kyle didn't bully anyone this time. Normally he makes fun of others, but this was an exception. Maybe he's changing?Anyway, my four sentences were:
I was in Italy.
I was there alone.
I won a race.
It was very sunny there. The lie is the second sentence. Of course I wasn't there alone, my family travelled with me. I didn't read it out loud, I will do that the next lesson. I'm sure everyone will think the one about me winning a race is a lie, but it's not. Me and my friends had a training and we decied to do a small race for fun. And I won it :)
The next lesson was Czech. Our teacher, Mrs. Hayes greeted us with new books. We obviously were very happy. Then we did some easy (I think a bit too easy) exercises. And pictures were next.
After the bell rang, we all rushed to the restrooms to change. Well, everyone except me.
When everyone was ready, we went outside to a park where we always do the photoshoots. I noticed that two boys, Robin and Ian, had also cool black sunglasses, formal hats and nerf guns. They kind of reminded me of some detectives.
„Why do you have those?" I asked Ian and pointed at the toy guns.
„We decided not to dress as politicians but as bodyguards," he answered me.
„Yeah," Robin agreed, „you'll need us."
We all laughed.Mrs. Hayes still wasn't there, so we played hide and seek. There are a few bushes and shops near the park, so we had quite a few hiding spots.
I saw Robin shooting from the nerf gun and Ian trying to catch the bullet in his hat. I couldn't help it but laugh. I shouldn't have done that, though. Madison heard me and found me hiding in the bushes. We laughed it off and went to find the others. But then Mrs. Hayes came. The boys started cheering, clapping and greeting her like a queen. She smiled like if she won a lottery. Our class can be very nice and funny sometimes. I think it happens only when nobody is bragging about something they bought/did or bringing someone else down out of jealousy. Those are the two things that completely ruin the atmosphere around us. I like it when we get along, have fun and respect eachother.
We waited for the photographer. He arrived a few minutes late, but that was okay. We took tons of photos and decided to make more photos that we did the previous years. We agreed on putting them on Instagram and laughing (in a good way) at our facial expressions and outfits. Someone said we look like we are attending a wedding, someone else said we look like we're going to put someone in jail. I really enjoyed these moments.
Then we had lunch. We had chicken and mashed potatoes. It was very good, as always :)
I had a training after school. A few of my friends and my also teammates were there, too. We had a lot of fun and some of us (including me, which I'm very happy about 😃) managed to improve our lap times (we're racing drivers, in case I haven't told you already/you didn't know). I bought a delicious baguette with goat cheese and ham in it on our way home.
Today was a lot of fun. I'm definitely looking forward to more! I'm excited for the next week, I'm sure it will be very interesting 😇 Now onto the weekend :)
I hope you're all doing alright as well! :)
