Our class went to the cinema today. The movie was about a famous Czechoslovakian athlete.
We were supposed to meet at the ticket booth at 8:30AM. When I arrived, I saw Kayla.
„Hi, Kayla!"
„Hi! Have you seen Bianca?"
„Nope. I'll text her now."
I sent her a message: „I'm at the ticket booth with Kayla. We're standing next to the soda machine."
She replied in a while: „Aren't you a little early? We were supposed to meet at 9:30AM, weren't we?"
Oh no.
„Nope, the movie starts in ten minutes," I texted her.
„What?! I better hurry! Tell Mrs. Hayes I'll be a little bit late."
„Of course."
„Mrs. Hayes?" I looked at our teacher.
„Yes?"
„Bianca messaged me she'll be a bit late."
„Oh, alright."
Then the teacher told us to enter the cinema.
My phone started ringing. It was Bianca.
„I'm here, but I don't see anyone," she said.
„We're already inside the cinema. I'm in the fifth row sitting on the left. Kayla and Audrey are next to me."
„I'll be there in a second. Please wave so I can see you better."
I lifted up my water bottle.
„I'm waving with a pink bottle. It's sparkling raspberry lemonade!"
„Haha. I see you now! Thanks so much."
Just when Bianca sat down, the movie started.
„That was pretty close," Kayla said.
„Yup. Thanks for waiting for me."
„No worries."
We all liked the movie. Then we returned to school for lunch. We had pizza :)
