How the lotr elves react to you on your period

Disclaimer: This is for everyone with a uterus and also talks about how they look after you if you have period dysphoria. I do not know much about it so I hope I represent it correctly

Elrond:

- Elrond is very sweet about it, he makes sure that you are comfortable and offers some of his pain killing herbs if you need them. As Elrond is a healer, he understands the physical nature of it, and therefore knows how to help the pain, make you comfortable, distract you, etc. Not only this but also Elrond has a daughter and would have most likely helped with the talk and looking after her with the help of Celebrían.

- He lets you off doing certain tasks if you are not up to it, making sure you rest when you need it.

- If you accidentally leak on the bed then Elrond does not make a big deal out of it, swiftly dealing with the stained things so you do not need to worry yourself with them yourself.

- If you have period dysphoria then Elrond takes his time to make sure you feel validated, listening to you if you talk about it or just being there and being supportive in any way you find the best, either that be gentle touches or affirmations.

- If he is not around, he makes sure he gets Lindir or another elf who he trusts to look out for you and make sure you are okay.

Thranduil:

- Thranduil does not know much about menstruation. Therefore he does not properly know how to look after you. He seeks help from his chief medical adviser who explains to him what he must do and how he can look after you.

- When you start, he makes sure to follow the checklist which the medical adviser gave him, ask if you need painkillers, getting you period products, ect.

- If you accidentally bleed in the bed he may slightly freak out, thinking one of the both of you have been stabbed. When he realises that you have just leaked accidentally he will get one of the servants to clear up so you need not worry about anything.

- If you have period dysphoria then Thranduil makes sure to be extra. Giving you things and doing stuff with you to distract you and help you get through it. He is very good at little quips which make you laugh, taking your mind off for a moment.

- As well as looking out for you, he also makes sure that his trusted advisers also do. The last thing he wants is for you to not be okay.

Lindir:

- Lindir did not know what menstruation was properly before. When he is with you he goes to Elrond for answers on how to look after you and make you comfortable. He takes what Elrond says and makes sure he diligently follows them.

- When you start he makes sure to make you comfortable, he bows to your every wish, making sure he checks on you a lot and also doing anything to make you comfortable and calm.

- If you accidentally bleed on the bed then that is not an issue, Lindir will sort it all out for you in a moment.

- If you have period dysphoria, Lindir will make sure to listen and look after you, doing whatever helps you distract or help you get through it. Lindir is there and will always be for you.

- If you need it, he will go to Elrond, asking after pain herbs or go to the cook and ask for a different meal. Whatever you need, he will deliver because he feels very empathetic for you and wants to help you get through it.

Haldir:

- Haldir, like Lindir, did not know the details of menstruation, therefore he goes to the library to read up on it and also goes to your mother for help. He takes in what they say and remembers everything he can do to make you comfortable.

- Because he is away a lot, he makes sure to get his brothers and also your mother to look out for you for him as he never wishes you to be uncomfortable or in pain.

- When he is home, he makes sure to make you comfortable and be there for you. If you have period dysphoria he will help distract you with stories of the past and of his time as marchwarden.

- If you leak on the bed then at first, like Thranduil he will think you have been stabbed, however, when he realises, he will thank the Valar and help you clear up.

- He will make sure to seek out certain herbs which are painkillers or you when he is out, guaurding.

Arwen

- She completely understands and supports you through it as she also has periods.

- When you are on it, she makes sure that you are warm, comfortable and relaxed. She hates to see you in pain or distressed, therefore she spends most of her time with you.

- If you have period dysphoria then Arwen is always there to listen, distract you by reading to you or going out riding or anything else which you enjoy. Arwen is so gentle and will try to make sure you feel comfortable through it all.

- If you accidentally leak on the bed, Arwen will understand and help you clear it up.

- She remembers what helps on your period, if it is heat, a certain pain killer, a certain product and will always make sure that it is to hand when you start.
